Thanks Harry. For anyone interested the fight between Sassenach and Burning Tiger had to be removed due to it being too brutal for public viewing. Eyewitnesses described the fight as horrifying, but strangely entrancing, like a boa constrictor run over by a Delorean full of digestive biscuits.

So looking back at this actually helped make my shuffler bot work... kind of. I'm having the same issue as you did with the feet jamming up after extended use, and I'm wondering if you ever figured out what the problem was? I'm personally thinking about getting some WD40 Silicone Lubricant to sputz in between the cam and the feet hole, to see if that would make a difference.

I've had components for an ant sitting around for years and I'm finally getting around to putting it all together. When you assemble your ants to you connect your wiring to terminals and pins or do you solder everything to save weight. How often do the electronics need repairing?
