@@DD.freshstart No worries. Just thought I'd ask you to clarify. I'm a US expat in Manila since November. Just today I renewed my tourist visa. They returned my passport to me along with a strange ID card. I asked, what's this? It was my ACR card. I got home and searched the purpose of such a card, and your channel popped up.

@@luvgguk6124 this is a display near the entrance to the Disney Store at the Mall of Asia. The Disney Store is located on the first floor. When you enter through the main entrance (where you see Uniqlo on the second floor), I believe you need to continue walking toward the right side of the building. I discovered after shopping at SM HyperMarket. I walked outside toward Pacific Drive where you’ll see the Globe Rotunda and toward MOA’s main entrance behind the “I ❤️ MOA” display, I saw the window displays for Disney. Hope my description helps you find the store. Good luck!

Hello. Did they stamp your passport extension ( from balikbayan to tourist?) from the day you visited the office or from the date when your balikbayan privilege was meant to expire?

@@matthewbryce8694 Hello! I don’t have a tourist visa. I’m a former Filipino naturalized in the United States. When I arrived at the airport, I presented my Philippines birth certificate with my USA passport. Since I also presented my marriage license, my husband also entered under the Balikbayan visa privilege. My Balikbayan Visa expires on November 13, 2024. I’ve been approved for the 13G visa, so I don’t need to file an extension.

@ I’ve been posting videos of our 13G process. Yes, the benefit of the 13G visa is my husband automatically receives it also. He’ll be able to travel in and out of the country without me. If something happens to me (death or divorce), then he’ll need to apply for a new visa. Upon approval of the 13G visa, we’ll both get new ACR-I cards. It takes about 3 months from application to approval.

@ I’m assuming 18, but I don’t know. I attempted 3x on my own to obtain dual citizenship and decided to use a visa agency after being unsuccessful. It’s not impossible to follow the Bureau of Immigration’s checklists, but I don’t live in Manila and I wanted my permanent residency approved before my Balikbayan visa expired. It cost more to use an agency, but I no longer had to worry if I was compliant with the government’s expectations.

It's Bonjour Paris in December as Air France 🇫🇷 recently said that they are returning to the Philippines will start their direct nonstop flights to Manila from their hub at Paris Charles De Gaulle, it will be easier for us Schengen Visa holders who regularly travel to Europe and for European visitors and business people coming to the Philippines. We're currently the only country in Asia without any direct flights to Europe 🇪🇺 but it will soon change, in the near future we can see Lufthansa 🇩🇪, Swiss International 🇨🇭, British Airways 🇬🇧, ITA Airways(Italia Transporto Aereo)🇮🇹 the successor to the now defunct Alitalia flying back again to the Philippines.

@@DD.freshstart Bonjour, it's officially confirmed Air France 🇫🇷 will commence direct nonstop flights to Paris Charles De Gaulle from Manila on December 08 and the aircraft is an Airbus A350-900 in a 3 Class configuration Business, Premium Economy and Economy with a complementary champagne 🥂 onboard of course and they are now accepting bookings for this direct service to and from Europe 🇪🇺. Bon Voyage.

@@DD.freshstart Bonjour, just booked on Premium Economy of Air France 🇫🇷 after' the renewal of my Multiple Entry Schengen Visa was approved and I'll be on the first flight after 20 years departing Manila at 9:50pm from NAIA Terminal 3 and arriving at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport at 5:50am next day then head to Lyon from Paris taking the high speed TGV train to visit my friend and then for the first time visiting Mont Saint Michel on the Normandy coast.

The greatest disappointment with PAL is that they don't have any flights to Europe particularly in the Schengen Area which I travel most, it's a total disservice to Filipinos being left out in Europe since European Airlines have ceased flying to the Philippines. In my case will have to go to a hub airport like Hong Kong to catch a connecting flight via Scandinavian Airlines or Finnair where my travels are in the Nordic countries.

@@DD.freshstart The sad part is that we don't have any direct flights to Europe you only find European Airlines at airports such as in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore. Many of my German friends who want to visit the Philippines but it's a hassle as there's no direct flights to the Philippines and they ended up in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore instead of coming to the Philippines. I used to fly with Lufthansa during my past travels to Europe until they ceased flying to the Philippines in 2008 , today there's no direct flights between Europe and the Philippines and fewer tourists from that part of the world come here you'll find them mostly in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and even Indonesia as their flag carrier Garuda Indonesia flies directly from Jakarta to Amsterdam. PAL doesn't give any priority to travelers going to Europe.

@@DD.freshstart Recently read articles that Lufthansa and Air France are planning to return their direct flights to Manila from Frankfurt and Paris Charles De Gaulle. Finnair has been expanding its presence in Asia and Manila is one of the routes to be opened soon from Helsinki Vantaa Airport if this pushes through it will become a gateway to the Nordic countries. Incidentally if you happen to be in European Airport such as Paris Charles De Gaulle you'll notice that many Asian carriers take off and land there and PAL is not one of them that's why European tourists getting to the Philippines is absolutely burdensome as they need to transfer to another airport such as Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore even Dubai and Abu Dhabi it's no wonder why fewer European tourists come to the Philippines.

Classism happens all over the planet. People whose jobs involve manual labor outdoors get darker. Wealthy people who stay indoors remain lighter. It doesn't matter if they are both Chinese or both Latinos. It's not Racism, but in every culture that I know people want to appear more upper class so they try to avoid excessive sun exposure. When I walk with my wife, she will use the umbrella and I will try to get away from her so I can get some vitamin D.

I wish colorism in the Philippines wasn't an issue but it's there with many Filipinos. As a much darker than average Filipino, fellow Filipinos will say I'm mixed with black or Indian. I'm not mixed. They can't accept that someone as dark as myself can be a Filipino. So, yes, color tone does play a big part in the Philippines in terms of treatment and attitude. Just look at the entertainment industry there as an example. Only the main stars are mixed with white or light skinned Filipino. The dark skins play subservient roles like a maid or a driver in a movie or TV program. This only perpetuates the mindset of the Philippines that lighter is superior (it's not)
