I love the opening theme song to Barnaby Jones. I recall seeing a little bit of this when I was very young, but I was so young I had no interest in this type of show. Now as an adult, I can enjoy and appreciate everything about them. Thank you for uploading these.

No survival instincts on show here. Rule #1 of exposing the badguys, don't tell them you're going to expose them.

@46m30s : I love it when Rock Hudson and Nancy Walker perform a tango together on the ballroom dance floor ! All 6 foot 5 of him and just 4 foot 11 of her ! . . . Little and large . . . HOW they kept a straight face in the scene, I do not know. 😅 A stupendous performance, and great comic timing ! 😃

The '& wife' is so plain and boring, esp next to a mega star like Hudson compared to other series with wives like Hart to Hart. They don't seem to have any connection (yes I know he was gay, but actors are supposed to act.)

Biddle should know by now that if Barnaby suspects foul play, don't question it. Especially involving the sudden death of an ex cop investigating a serial killer.

🎉 Crazy to see MikeBrady as a ruthless publicity addict! Barnaby also still held the main focus c.1977, with Betty & JR gradually taking on a bigger role thru remainder of the series after the plots had begun to run out of ideas. (Probably shouldve called it quits before the DiscoDaze era!)

Never got into it as a kid (restrictive parents) but started to watch in my 40s on the old Decades station. Loved the variety of old&new talent (especially JessicaWalter!), but began fade with boytoy cutie MarkShera at the dawn of the Disco era. Glad MeTV is airing it now, even though 4am is a bit early for most humans. 😊

Does anyone else have to laugh at the way we dressed back then? That opening scene with FakeMillan dressed like a goober right down to the shoes struck me as funny; but what MacMillan was wearing wasn't much better.

OUTSTANDING! I don't recall ever seeing this one, and it was one of the best in the entire series. Big "locked door" mystery that keeps you guessing, and I don't believe you CAN guess.

In the Devil You Say episode, at the end where Sally is nearly knifed to death in the satanic ritual, Sally, like any other person, would've been very emotional. But she acted like nothing happened and had the gull to ask, "How do you like my hair? To me, that was stupid writing and made me get turned off by what was a pretty good episode.

I loved this show as a kid when it aired. 1973? I turned 9 in October of that year, lol. What is an 8 year old kid doing watching this? Great show, heck, I had good taste. I loved Columbo also. That I started watching around 7 years old, lol.

That first episode was a total slam dunk. Woman goes to a party and tells the host that her Husband just accused him of stealing from their company, he immediatly says he's has to go somewhere and her Husband ends up dead. How obvious do you need to make it. The cops are so preoccupied trying to pin it on 2 innocent kids they can't see the obvious.

I remember seeing this on A&E in 1995 and I always wanted a Lincoln Continental like that. I used to watch clips of this on DailyMotion just for the car. The closest I got to one was in 2000, I was looking for a car and it was identical to this one, even had the CB radio. Got to at least open and close the door since it was at a Ford dealer for service. The car was almost 30 years old and it was still being maintained by the dealer.

While I like Susan Saint James and Mildred, the plots are full of holes. Hudson is always the tough guy, and the episode where he was shot is particularly ridiculous. Why would a patient connect to Hudson's room instead of the desk nurse so Hudson would be left alone? And he had no protection after telling doctors and nurses he saw a murder without knowing who it was? After he somehow got out alive, he again had one of the suspect doctors give him an injection. Why not receive treatment at another hospital and why not have a policeman with him.

Was it really the Scottish Highlands or Topanga Canyon Park near Los Angeles Ca 😇😇??!!!???! A lot of houses are built there now...... and much dryer than it was 50 years ago!!! Saw many TV and movie sets growing up around there and PCH . Always see something familiar when watching 1970s retro TV !!
