Wasn't there some benchmark that showed the Data class being way slower than OpenStruct / Struct?

great video, i use the same environment, but something happen to me, i had to make a script to redirect http request to my wsl, when i start the app and don't run the script in window, my app doesn't catch any http request from my local host. What do you think is the problem with that?
@BDnevernindАй бұрын
You mentioned at 9:00 that you have a method for running Ruby on Windows with Docker but not WSL? Are you talking about a Windows Ruby build? I believe proper Ruby requires Linux/Unix kernel and packages, so WSL2 is required for proper Docker. Is this incorrect?
@DriftingRubyАй бұрын
It was meant more from the perspective of having the Ruby Interpreter live in a docker container instead of WSL directly. I believe Docker on Windows still requires WSL.
@BDnevernindАй бұрын
@@DriftingRuby Well you can run Windows images on Docker for Windows, I think. That's why I think it might be confusing for some, if I'm not mistaken. Great video though.

Why is it set up so that you need to enter your password AND your passkey? Passkeys have 2FA already baked in. One of the main selling points of passkeys is that you don't need to have a password. This looks like a great solution though. Keep up the great work Dave.

@jl789nz4 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure the QR code here is created by the Operating system/pass key manager, so it's not something that you can change yourself.

Doesn't work with Propshaft ATM. Can't create a new app with propshaft + Esbuild + bootstrap

It should, all of my example applications have been using propshaft, esbuild and bootstrap. This is in my RailsRC File. --skip-spring -a propshaft --javascript esbuild --css bootstrap -m ~/driftingruby/template.rb
