Sorry for the damage. We’re there with you. Just got our power back today and met with our insurance adjuster yesterday. Sorry for your losses. But you’re right, we are lucky compared so some others.

Greenville , Charlotte, and Atlanta are the main Cities of I-85 the most important interstate in the southeast. Greenville is arguably the most unique of the 3 and also the smallest. Definitely has the best scenery outside the city limits of the 3. Upstate South Carolina is arguably the most beautiful part of the south.

I finally have time to comment. lol. We love Unity Park! Such a great place for kids and adults. I’m surprised they still haven’t finished yet. Did they give a date for when they’ll be finished? Also, I’m glad they expanded the Commons! I bet that BBQ and Indian food are good!

@@BatteBites yep! Cupcake was our puppy but we were working so much in 2012 that we gave her to my mom… she has had a great life with her… fortunately my mom moved from MD to NC so now I get to them more!

Ya brother! Watching ur vids because im moving there next week from Florida...should have moved beginning of summer but unable. See you around! I chose Greenville over Savannah or Nashville because its clean with true southern hospitality and not a metropolis...and close to mountains. Correct me if im dreaming, but the people there seem extra pleasant, polite and easy going. And the park downtown and SwapRabbit trail...it seems like a dream, apart from the chaos of the rest of the world! Am i overly optomistic? Lol. Let me know : )

@@D.E.Saccone-no4og so like anywhere else, it does have its cons… the drivers along with the roads especially… I think you’ll agree with that once you arrive. Overall it is a great place and I frequent the Swamp Rabbit trail. For the most part people are very friendly. A lot of things to do without having the negatives of a bigger city. I love Savannah also but feel like Greenville is a better spot! Best of lick with your move

Have you experienced the driving in Miami/Ft Lauderdale for an extended time? Lol. Its like NY city but on meth and drunk! Seriously. People everywhere, it seems, dont pay attention due to smart phones and tons of Meds they are on...and thats everywhere in the country! And pedestrians dont pay attention either. Its a different world than you or i grew up in, thats certain. Thanks for saying hi again - Cheers!

I had one on my shirt and I sat down in my car. Gave me a nice sting in the back to give me a heads up that I was crushing it. I'm trying to see if these things sting if you let it crawl on you. I've only been stung by them when I ran over a nest, and when i leaned back in one. But what if I just let it land on me?

@@TheHonorlord I’ve been stung several times by me probably surprising it as well. This is the first time one actually just landed on me and I let it crawl on me, but then I started getting nervous after a while so I kind of move my hand so it would go away. Luckily I didn’t get stung.

I’m watching this one year after it was made and I’m impressed with the changes from then to June 2024 when I spent a week here! Moving to GV from north of Detroit Michigan where it’s nothing even close to similar! So many new place opened in the West End and some I see on this video aren’t there now. Overall this is such a walkable area and I never once felt in danger! I’ll be a resident by the end of this year and look forward to revisiting this part of the city!

@@southernstalwart Thank you! Indeed I love the restaurants in the West End and all the little shops. I didn’t mean to imply you need to update your video- I was just impressed to note the growth the area experienced in such a short time. I come from the land of fast drivers and bad roads! I can’t imagine it will be worse there than here, unless driving too slow! But when I was there I found all the highways to be very tolerable! I’ll keep an eye open for you and I’ll say “hi!” If I see you on the streets!

I'm really sad about this. This is really horrible architecture, which looks like all of the other bland architecture going up all over the place. Why not just build something aesthetically pleasing? This is truly shameful.

It does look similar to the other architecture I’ve seen coming up around Greenville. I am excited about this project but I would have like to seen some architecture that would be unique and interesting as well. I wasn’t too excited about the design of Falls Tower but I believe it has grown on me… perhaps this will do the same for me. Thanks for watching and sharing!

@@southernstalwart Falls Tower also looks like every glass/steel building going up anywhere in the country, and these things rob Greenville of a chance to have its own aesthetic identity. It hasn't grown on me yet, but maybe someone will design something that works.
