Does Georgia tax Social Security? What about Property Taxes as well as Home insurance rates. TIA. Btw very nice vlog.

Thanks for the compliment. Ga does not tax social security and provides a maximum deduction of $65,000 per person on all types of retirement income for anyone 65 or older. I usually like to estimate about 1% of FMV for property taxes in this area. Of course it varies depending on whether you live in the city or county. And about 1/2% of FMV value for insurance. Again this can vary depending on the cost of the house, the broker, whether you have to also have flood insurance, etc. Happy to help you in any way.

I live in Nashville TN and own my own home but want to move to a warmer climate but not an area encumbered with constant hurricane issues. I like Savannah alot it may be a possibility. I lived in savannah for 20 years and am thinking of returning. This video did not help me identify the neighborhoods you note in terms of their locations relative to any landmarks, like I95, downtown, Abercrombie st., Georgetown, etc. so i will go elsewhere for research.
