Thanks for posting this! It never fails to uplift me to the place I cheer out loud. The music is so powerful and uplifting. 3 absolutely perfect dancers with individual personalities that leave me breathless. Starting with amazing Jamar Roberts who is so rare for his incredible, stunning 6'5" physique in the dance world that doesn't dominate just by size- he actually does everything right- reaches, melts, extends, he is flexible and looks great filled up... his contraction is THE ultimate contraction that leaves me speechless. He is a good story teller, too and I love his choreography. His effortless, manly execution of movement and his proportions exuding earthy celebration of life- just stunning range. I just went to see Alvin Ailey in Costa Mesa and Mr Roberts' performance left me speechless along with just plain perfect ,beautiful Mr Rushing, manly Mr Sims and his heavenly fantastic Mrs Sims and great raw spirit dancers of current Alvin Ailey troupe. Then, the other worldly Clifton Brown with his gymnast ability to hover in a jump, reach and melt longest and swiftly catch up. He is just plain perfection of quiet and seamless movement and turns that stay up into stillness and then he just steps out ...Wow. I miss Mr Brown. And Kirven Boyd! how agile, quick and stable and charming. In this piece, his agility was throwing sparks. I always love watching him.

Little did I know while watching one of my favorite shows So you think you can dance and seeing this performance, that I would move to NYC seven years later and watch that performance live seven times!!! How awesome is that?!?!
