Man, I'd really be interested If a whipple would fit on this thing ? The firewall looks pretty close to the rear of the factory intake . I have a whipple on a 7.3 in my cobra mustang but I'm thinking about swapping it to my old truck.

This is no doubt cool, but is it worth all the time and wiring and complication. Seems like a 450 hp 460 would do the same thing with way less compication. Genuinely curious if its really worth it.

The wide steel wheels with the dog dish hubcaps looks awesome 👌 This build is a perfect mix of classic and modern in my opinion.

You can get a radiator for a 460. It uses the same mounting as the small block radiators. And there’s some stock options for the 460 that will be plenty for the Godzilla.

How much does the swap generally run? I just took my 60 into a shop here in Colorado Springs, and I’m considering doing an LS swap for the power/reliability…..but I’m afraid of what I might be expecting price wise. Truly appreciate ya.

Did I understand you saying a Xfer case such as NP205 wouldn’t fit with the 10R? Does it work with the 6speed?

Fix the steering.........tipical American cars....... I managed to fix mine!!. they fit a power steering , but they left the same geometry of a shop trolley as in in the past without power steering then in other to be able to steer, now you got double the problem...!!

For those that have asked about a final video... our footage was corrupted and we didn't find that out until after the truck was delivered. We are hoping to get another chance to film with the truck out in Montana, when we do we'll post a final review video.

Excellent work, and well thought out. I’m curious why you don’t use the smaller 10r80 or 6r80 trans? I’m guessing it has something to do with ford control pack only supporting the 10r140.
@WellSortedAutomotive7 ай бұрын
Correct, we want the Ford Performance powerpack so that we get the best matched engine and transmission calibration.
@BlueJeanF1507 ай бұрын
Why not use an electric fan and not have to fab a shroud?
@WellSortedAutomotive7 ай бұрын
There's no right answer to this one, electric is easier but some customers want a mechanical fan. Controlling the Godzilla fan is a little bit tricky, it is an electroviscous clutch system and doesn't just work based off inlet air temp. We have a method that works for our builds but it's not straightforward.

You could gain a little more clearance in the transmission tunnel if you put new cab mounts on it.

What's the point I would have swapped in a 7.5 460 kept it retro and I would bet it would out perform it in the long run and it's easier to work on.
@Jsf4452 ай бұрын
I have the same question. Old engines can make any power level you want, way less complicated. Don't see the advantage of this.

Question on the rough country lift that it has. Does it have the rough country leaf springs in the back and are they sitting on factory lift blocks that are 3” or are the springs just sitting on the axle without the lift blocks?
@cosimosanfilippo90507 ай бұрын
I love every inch of it, except the play in the steering. My 1986 Bronco is nailed on the road and the steering is not hard, or soft. I increased Castor and diminished all possible play , from the steering to the wheels. power steering was introduced much later on this trucks , but the geometry of the truck steering, was left the same, for easy to steer, but they are shopping trolleys unless castor is increased etc.,
