Really great lesson with the different picking choices to make the banjolele or ukulele stand out.

Hi, i am a complete beginner with the banjouke . I m practicing your picking tips. Really like the way you simply put it across. Would you be doing some strumming patterns and chords for beginners. Many thanks from the uk.

This was adorable! I found a number of tunes by Credence Clear Water Revival that I had been playing on my ukes, translated really well to the banjolele. Of course Down on the Corner is one & another fav is Bad Moon Rising. Both on the banjolele bring the feel of the original song but give it a whole new twist. For Down On the Corner, I kept the original strumming pattern in several parts of the song - DUDUD_UU'UD. I'm still experimenting with applying some of the patterns you introduced in your Tip & Tricks vid, into the song. I'll look through the rest of your vids to see if you posted a cover of the song. If you haven't yet, this would be a great time to do that as we're in the season leading up to Halloween here early in Oct. Thx again for all the instruction (& fun : )!

Was this helpful? Yes - a gazillion times yes! Like many, I picked up the banjolele after learning & playing the ukulele. Although many songs played on the ukulele sounded great on the banjolele, I was looking for technique & instruction on how to showcase the banjolele itself. I recognized I'd def need to learn the unique strumming patterns associated with banjo. Your tutorial was concise, clear & delivered with humble Dad warmth. I saved this vid in my YT library, gave it a like, dropped a comment & subscribed. Thanks again 😘🎶

There is a typo on the title of this video. Someone typed finger-printing instead od finger-picking.
