Back In The Village is a track loved by musicians but underrated by the normal fanbase. I fk love this track! It's simply amazing: incredible bassline, harmonized guitars, wicked main arpeggio/riff... This is like a Maiden's musical "dictionary".

I was here for this gig. Great to find it was recorded. There used to be an audio recording on one of the audio streaming platforms but I lost my download. Always wondered what he meant when he said he was saving the world. Wondered if it was recording a charity track or something put probably just involved drugs and alcohol. They were really pretty late!

I remember those days. Used to buy the Melody Maker and the NME and used to see this particular logo of this unknown band advertising that that will be playing in these small places and pubs. Little did they knew what they were in for!!

My firts time was a bootleg from X Factour (Chile '95). Iron Maiden was my favorite song. After know Bruce Dickinson, they became my favorite band. I don't like Di'Anno vocals, but in early days, he was the better from previous singers, until Sir Air-Raid Siren overcame the world.

Steve hates punk but joke's on him, the first song sounds a lot like early Descendents.

I recently watched a few live shows on You Tube. They seem to have loads of energy and are pretty good. They do deserve a higher profile. I like the grumpy old guys with attitude thing, being 64 myself

I'm sorry, but all those keyboard warriors slagging Harvey off just because it's so easy to do have no idea about what he done for hundreds of bands over the last 40 years. He's been the single most important promoter in Britain. And, no, I'm not related to him.

its weird in some ways harvey was right, it just needed the shift as to when metal became "retro" again. Saw them recently they were amazing!

Funniest part about this is how wrong Harvey was I was only 1 when this documentary was filmed and i just saw Saxon 2 nights ago and they were as fantastic as ever! I have been a fan for years and for him to be giving them shit over not having a young audience is just plain hilarious!!(Considering its 15 years later!) Just shows how right Biff and the boys were 🤣🤘

it's funny a few years later the retro metal market blew up, all saxon had to do is keep going and got rediscovered.
