What's wrong with playing the saxaphone? People thought it was sinful or something? Was Will Smith a stand-up in this era?

@sxnchou
@sxnchou 11 ай бұрын
he's absolutely solid with it to be fair though. that intro was a real anchor for the entire performance and i love his quiet confidence. as well as mulligan cooling the hot atmosphere down from everyone's else red-hot solos. two prime examples of how you dont need to blow 40 notes a second while twisting your body everywhere to make a great solo

I remember this inauguration well, like it was yesterday. I taped it. These are the best saxophone players in the world. I really enjoyed watching this inauguration. President Clinton was a great President and Vice President Al Gore was a great Vice President. Those were the good old days. I'm not saying President Biden is a bad President. He certainly is not. He is doing the best he can with everything that's been going on in this country. Way to go, Joe. God bless Clinton and Gore and their families. Also, God bless these extremely talented saxophone players.

There’s a six-bar introduction then they’re playing the Arkansas traveler a Civil War era tune, a homage to Bill Clinton’s home state Each of them are soloing for six bars, so a 12 bar blues cut in half which is why there’s so many 16th notes in there And they conclude with heartbreak Hotel (Elvis presley) which Bill Clinton played during the campaign
