Thank you so much for watching Christian I hope you get to see the film soon its worth watching. I miss films like this where a good confident writer and director just engages the audience with actors in a room and talking or having a conversation. It felt like a stage play to me, like I mentioned in my video but the film-making was very well done and Hugh Grant gives a magnificent performance that I feel is worth the price of admission alone but its very good and I can't wait to hear what you think of it when you see it. Have a great day my friend and all the best :)

Excellent review. Glad you got to see this film on the big screen (I saw it at the cinema last night). You pick up a lot of things that make this film a horror classic and some of the underlying themes of the film. Really like your observation about the use of smoke in the fllm

This review got me to go to see this film. I haven't stopped thinking about it since. You do a brilliant job summing it up and I am glad I wasn't alone in having to stiffle a laugh during that scene (which I think was intended,!) And second that Demi Moore should get the Oscar especially for that scene where she tries to get ready for a date . As you say that was the most horrifying scene of the whole film.

This film is a great film to see with an audience I can remember my friend who I went to go and see it with during the more disgusting scenes left the screening and I was actually worried that he left to go throw up or something, but he came back into the room after five minutes and said he just needed some air which was great but this film was great and I hope Demi Moore gets the oscar for that one scene in the film it was really heart-breaking Glad you enjoyed the film Soul I have two double feature reviews one of which is going to be on the smile films look forward to those and all the best 👍☺

Do you have your video saved as a file on your computer? Maybe try uploading it again and mirror the clips its where the scene is almost shot from an alternating angle almost mirroring the shot as originally presented. Please give that a try and good luck with getting the review reuploaded and let me know how it goes I have subscribed all the best my friend hope all goes well :)

I agree, I didn't think this film was anywhere near as bad as people have been making it out, but it didn't work 100% either.
@joshuawilliams77342 ай бұрын
I think it could have been much worse those who actually hated on this film should check out the tv series Gotham and see how much worse it can get. At least this film had ideas which sadly weren't fully realised but I still had a good time and I would say if they kept some of the musical sequences consistent they could have done something great meaning the sequence where Harley and Arthur are out in the rain and they do the waltz that was in the trailer and run up to the gate to climb it Lee is singing and when Arthur is being interviewed later on the interviewer says she was singing which kind of broke the rule of what the first musical number established which is it was all going on inside authors head. I think if they kept up that consistency it would have been good. I also think the idea of Harley being the one in the driver's seat in regards to her being the one controlling Joker is an interesting twist I would still recommend people see this but I feel like you don't need to see it in the cinema. Its something that I think if you see it on Netflix its not a bad way to sit and watch on a chilly autumn evening. All the best Christian 👍☺
@canto14082 ай бұрын
@@joshuawilliams7734 Oh I agree, I think the idea that Harley is the one manipulating Joker this time is actually quite brilliant. I've seen some reviews that said Harley couldn't been better written, and needed more character development, but I liked how she's kind of a complete mystery throughout.

My opinion the family is lovable, not every movie has to have a good ending, nor does every bad guy need to meet their end, its just a movie not real life, some people enjoy just pure gore it can almost be therapeutic, similar to how i enjoy the feeling of getting tattoos i look at it as pain therapy. Also on a quick note the sherrif sucked and i was hoping for his downfall from the begining. And i doubt there is any reason its just unorganized chaos. Still love your review cause everyone sees things differently and i enjoy hearing others point of view!
@joshuawilliams77343 ай бұрын
Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed my review even though I wasn't particularly kind to this film but I thought everyone else loves this film I wanted to add a different point of view. Everyone on the internet loves and I got frustrated that so many people loved it when I thought it was a load of old expliotation drivel, with nothing really going on, at least the Sheriff had something I could latch onto with his wanting to get revenge on the people who killed his brother, its not profound or worthy of any further analysis but it was something that felt like wow this guy should be a good man but he is so comsumed by revenge, And I know people might get preachy when I say the words good man and say 'but revenge isn't the answer but in my opinion it is, if its in service of a good story and you may not like the sheriff and I didn't much care for him either but I just felt like: I have the Rob Zombie's mason-family or this crazy sheriff driven made by revenge...? I chose option two because he was given more time to develop there is one scene with the characters sharing ice cream and then there is the scene at the brothel with the family and I feel it wasn't enough I needed more... Thank you for the kind words my friend I hope you have a good day and if you want to see more videos please subscribe for more all the best

I totally understand where you're coming from in the sense that it isn't reality but its sort of escapism I have a great many film moments where people might say I'm a bit sick for liking but I don't care lol I can watch the ending of Day of the Dead 1985 with a pepperoni pizza and think nothing of it. There is a scene where a guy gets his vocal cords slowly ripped out and his voice gradually changes which is probably my favourite zombie kill in anything related to zombie apocalyse films - even the walking dead. I also like John Carpenter's The Thing, David Cronenberg's The Fly and I new film that's in Cinemas now The Substance I recently did a review on that if you want to check it out. I also want to say that I'm not usually this negative to a film I just thought this one was so popular and so many people loved it that I wanted to throw my hat into the ring - as it were I hope you're well my friend and stay tuned for more vids 👍

Also I couldn’t help but think of a CBBC TV show that aired from 2007-2010 called Trapped! It was a game show for kids where six kids from different parts of the UK who complete challenges who get voted against one another as one child picked out at random by the voice (a lady who’s face we don’t see but is instantly recognised by her purple lipstick) to sabotage the challenge from rooms 6 to 3. Floor 2 was basically a general knowledge round. Most of the kids who vote do it completely randomly. It was freaky and fun. The reason why I mention Trapped! Is because the escape room reminds me of something out of the show. I, a UK lass, loved this program when it came out when I was 6 years old.

Hmm this is a problem with the IMDB list. It's constantly changing because it's simply based on the ratings people give films. You might be better taking movies from a book like 101 Movies to Watch Before You Die by Ricardo Cavolo. Something set in stone. (for my money Paris, Texas is a far better film than Dances with Wolves though)
@joshuawilliams77344 ай бұрын
That's great Ross thank you for the suggestion. The only way I can work around doing the IMDB list is if I don't do it as a countdown from 250-1 but pick a selection of films that I am able to track down and review easily like for example a film called it happened one night is on the list but its like the 247th film on that list, so in regards to accessibilty I will be tackling that film first and then maybe something like Aladdin, then Paris, Texas if I can find a DVD copy and then something else like Pulp Fiction or Monsters Inc or something like that, do you think that's a good work around?

When Dr Death showed up and Jason (Pemberton) started freaking out, I saw the brief flash of him in a coma I had to do a double take and thought “what was that?!” And when the twist was revealed he was in said coma I went “OH SH*T JASON’S IN AN EFFING COMA!!” I didn’t want Jason’s doctors take him off life support and put him to sleep, Jason seemed to be a caring dad who loves his wife and daughters. I was screaming and freaking out for Jason to wake up. I then remembered that he had that last hint and it being the I and X in EXIT being the Roman numerals for 9 was a great use of the 9 in the show. As that revelation hit Jason, his wife, daughters and the audience. When Lynne, Jason’s wife, exclaimed “wait!” And the doctors stopped pulling the plug on Jason when Lynn heard him say “Number 9!” And Lynn exclaimed “Did he just say something?!” And when Jason woke up I nearly fainted or vomited or both! I get interested so easily! 😅 I do think that Dr Death is an allegory for the grim reaper. I was screaming so badly to my mum asked me to turn it down! As the credits rolled I was taking deep breaths out of terror.

I agree also good catch on seeing the flash of Jason in a coma that was a good eye, I watched this episode twice and both times I missed that 🤣 I do agree one on this episode being a sort of emotional rollercoster because minute you're welling up at the family heart to heart moments and the scenes later on with the family in the hospital room, but the next you're on the edge of your seat watching Jason trying to figure out how to escape whilst Dr Death is chasing him with the axe, a really well-edited back and forth towards the end there I felt but really good comment @TFTNGaming2001 Look forward to more videos very soon relating to inside no 9 and please subscribe for more content when you get the time all the best 👍😊
