While I always enjoy listening to your sermons - informative and entertaining…you have it all wrong here: Israel is not fighting a battle against those “who seek the destruction of the Jewish state” it is slaughtering women and children at an unprecedented pace. According to Omer Bartov - someone who knows far more than I or you, on CNN a few days ago: “Israel has been destroying universities” (all eight have been turned into rubble) among so many other atrocities. This, according to prof. Bartov is “annihilation”; and israel has already planted the flag of ethnic supremacy and victory and will probably soon establish settlements in Gaza. This is stain on the Jewish people, and as a former Israeli who served in the idf , I would implore you to open your eyes to the destruction we are witnessing today, not only of the Zionist dream but of Jewish survival.

Rabbi is weaving metaphors and timely incidents into an alchemy for the purpose and work of Judaism - and not for Judaism alone! But for the sake and core of all religions, all creeds, affiliations, communities, neighborhood blocks, and countries. He is saying, with wisdom and acquired enlightenment, that there is only hope for mankind in the sincere establishment of respectful, reciprocal commaraderie. ❤ Crucially important, and For the Ages, Rebbe. Thank you.

As a senior in high school my Camerata/choir worked with Debbie Friedman to perform and record Sing unto God an album of her music in 1971. We recorded her music at Sound 80 studios in Minneapolis. This then 17 year old Catholic boy walked into Temple of Aaron in Saint Paul and performed her songs for the congregation. 54 years ago.

God said Love your neighbor as yourself. He did not say Jews should only love their Jewish neighbor. But should love their neighbor regardless of their belief. For God created all people in his image.

my mother is a member at my dad's synagogue but she only goes twice a year at his appeasement. she hates synagogue, but since Park Avenue Synagogue started putting stuff on zoom, she listens to this feed all the time. , imagine how much it would grow the membership of the people who actually listened in New York

Did the rabbi perhaps consider that the hyper-progressive values and version of Judaism they have been pushing for decades is 80% likely to lead naturally and directly to Maya's conclusions?

@ yes. Adon olam is a song I imagine even the most infrequent attendees could sing along to. It feels like a performance rather than participatory prayer.
