Cut you up a old rubber hose to place where the u joint holds down the axle .

The "Reels on Wheels" beach cart is the best , made in the USA but the guy from Fish N Mate screwed them over by having his Fish N Mates made in China which is an exact copy . Fish N Mates are not near the quality of the Reels on Wheels versions.

Regarding the potential failure point where the axel is u-bolted to the frame, keep in mind there are two other aluminum 1 x 1s that also bear the axel weight. If you are concerned, order a 12" x 1/4" aluminum bar from Ebay and JB weld a few inches to the inside (for clearance of the wheel) on either side of the area where the holes are drilled out for the U-bolts and your problem will be solved.

@bobg0038: The handlebar comes off quick. It's just a cotter pin holding it in place. The main 2 wheels are held with a round key ring type cotter pin. I prefer to leave the wheels on because of the washers in place could easily get lost. Breakdown of all 3 wheels and handlebar take about 2 minutes.
