I think Europe is overrated. Brazil fell off when they switched up and stopped playing with rhythm and started playing like Europeans rigid style. Mexico needs to go back to that street ball creative flow that is tough for Europeans.

The real problem is the pay to play system in Mexico where upper middle and upper class kids are the only ones that can afford to go to camps and tournaments. Mexican pro teams need to start scouting and funding the careers of players from the lower class because thats where the real talent is. Second also Mexican pro teams ask for waaaaay to much transfer fees to pro teams in other countries for players that may not even be that good, they need to bring those prices down in order to have players with international experience.
@OT-FUTBOLАй бұрын
You’ve made some excellent points! Addressing the pay-to-play system and supporting talent from all backgrounds could truly transform the game in Mexico. It’s time for pro teams to invest in the future of football.

THANK you for saying what I've been saying: Mexico's full team roster of LIGA MX players is NOT good enough compete at the national level. Hell, Mexican league teams lose games CONSISTENTLY against USA MLS teams these days. No, if Mexico want to be competitive, they need players that are GOOD enough to be regular starters in big European teams. It's NOT gonna work any other way. I love how you mention that Canada played 3 friendlies against European teams and lost (Like it's a bad thing) Have you ever heard a saying "you learn more when you LOSE than when you win"? The main problem that REALLY holds Mexico down is the corruption in the Mexican football federation. The way teams do things needs to be scrapped and deleted. For example: Teams want to sell young Mexican talent at a PREMIUM to European teams when those young players are technically UNPROVEN: So you're good in the Mexican league? cool, let's see how good you are in the Premier League. Another issue I've noticed with young Mexican talent is.. IF they managed to get scouted for a good European team, they act like they've "already made it", like they accomplished something, like they attained a goal or something. No bro, you JUST got there, you just STARTED! Time to put your head down, act like you're a NOBODY (cause you ARE a nobody in this new setting), forget how good you were in Mexican league and GET to work. You have a CRITICAL job in getting in there, going through the adjustment period AND eventually excelling to the point that you will be one of the starting 11. I have a SNEAKING suspicion this attitude is why European coaches don't use MORE Mexican players. Notice how we DO actually have alot of Mexican players abroad? except they hardly get any minutes? or they aren't EXACTLY one of the main players in the team? Another thing that someone told me and I didn't think about it but MAY be an issue is: Even if you DO have great Mexican talent playing in Europe, the Mexican fans want to see their favorite Mexican league players play in the national team. The Mexican fans DON'T want to see the Mexican-European players. As I said before, a Mexican friend of mine told me his family is happy to see their national team lose, as long as they saw their Mexican league players play in the national team :/

They Made It To Semifinal Of The 1958 WC Losing 5-2 To A Young Peles Brazil But Won 3rd Place Beating West Germany. if mexico want change they need to fix a lot of thing's especially with mx clubs that don't want to sell a mexican without putting a high price tag relegation being removed from the league is also a bad thing and more young players need to be given minutes we don't need ochoa anymore or jimenez. yes more mexicans neeed to go to Europe but mx clubs make it hard to and most aren't willing to give them minutes just to give some south american the spot the only club in mexico actually developing and giving young mexicans a chance is pachuca maybe chivas too but most often then not they're players that are already in their mid 20s who aren't even called up to the national team which doesn't make sense cuz beltran and mozo should be playing for mexico if someone like fucking charly rodriguez is able too.

The reality of this downfall is corruption, the owners of the league doesn't care of supporting young local players, instead of that, they fill the league with foreign players, meanwhile, they charge the local players an absurd quantiy of money to "support" them to get to the 1rst division... a quantity of money that most can't afford, the same happen to the players in the national team, they got there due to be wealthy and had good connections inside, so basically, they don't deserve to be there, they could just afford to buy a place.

0:54 Actually it’s started after 0-7 Chile at the Copa America, Andres Guardado even said that, that was the root of everything because of the lack of the upcoming players you had Chucky Lozano, Diego lainez, Jorge Sanchez Erick Gutierrez, Uriel Antuna. Guardado even said that if Mexico made it to the knockouts in 2022 there wouldn’t be as much questions and doubts as today. So it wasn’t Qatar WC or the Switch of the crest as most people try to blame or put an excuse… it’s been going on since 2016. And you forgot to mention the federation and the fact ligamx is pricing the players at a high price. That’s why Europe isn’t buying Mexican players.

Sending players away to any country who actually has a good league is too much common sense for Liga MX team owners. The players who are established don’t wanna leave because their paycheck looks nice, and they don’t care enough to go elsewhere to improve their style. What we (me personally, I don’t know if anyone would agree with me) need is more players with a similar mentality of Luis Chavez, because I’m pretty sure he’s said he doesn’t wanna go back to Mexico
@korex04 ай бұрын
That's exactly what we need the corruption and weak mentality the mexican player's have are why mexico is where it is rn luis chavez actually wanting a challenge and most recently rodrigo huescas going to Europe is a good thing

You raise a valid point! It's definitely a challenge for Liga MX to encourage players to seek opportunities abroad when the financial incentives at home are so appealing. Players like Luis Chavez really set a great example with their ambition.

I agree with your points, the federation has failed Mexico with bad decisions, clubs have failed us by keeping Mexican players and giving them absurd price tags. Another thing is that the Mexican national has lost its connection to Mexico. At this point Mexico might be playing more games in the US than Mexico. We need to depend on a mix of youngsters and experienced players to succeed.

I don't think so. Europe is damn near irrelevant. Plenty of CONMEBOL players play in Liga MX and MLS with and went on to do good in with their team in COPA América. Lot of the Europe Mexicans were playing and didn't do too good. Not only that but the Africans all play in Europe and they still suck. Bad. South America developed way better players than any European. Europe ain't even that good. South Americans feed them. Also, Mexico was never good. Just nobody else played. What was the difference between 2022+ and the 90s? In CONCACAF, US, Canada didn't play. The entire Muslim world didnt play. East Asia didn't play. Australia wasnt serious till now. Mexico is the same. Just some countries are no longer free wins. Mexicans need to accept other countries besides CONCACAF and Europe play now. You're right about Mexicans not having discipline. Thats where the only problem lies. No discipline.
