An meinem zweiten Tag als Au-pair in Island, im Januar 1996 in Akureyri, habe ich zum ersten Mal von Dir gehört und wurde am selben Tag zum Konzert geschleppt. Bei Saumst after hattest du mich, bis heute. Es ist schön mal wieder von Dir zu hören. Alles liebe aus Deutschland. Ég heyrði í þér í fyrsta skipti á öðrum degi mínum sem au pair á Íslandi, á Akureyri í janúar 1996, og var dreginn á tónleikana sama dag. Á Saumst eftir varstu með mig, þangað til í dag. Gaman að heyra frá þér aftur. Allt það besta frá Þýskalandi.

I adore Dusty but i don't think this is her kind of song this is asong that should not (in my opinion) be oversung it needs a slghtly low key interpretation the way Dionne Warwick and Karen Carpenter did it

As others have said: this is a difficult song to sing. She really isn't comfortable with the tempo. However, check out Dusty singing this song on the Rolf Harris the following year. The tempo is faster and she delivers a really good performance.

Bacharach was not easy to please, had high expectations there were not many artists that could work with him in person. Rehearsal with him was tough!

I love the language, especially the ð-sound. It's a shame that it is so hard to find someone who teaches it. It would help a lot to understand his music or Solstafir or Hatari.
