With the V2V if 2 different angencies are on scene together and both using V2V do the vehicles have to have the same programming or with the first vehicle take over the lighting of the second vehicle from different agency?

Interesting how some departments follow research on high visible vehicles with presence lights, and others seek more stealth options even for routine patrol, not necessarily traffic enforcement. I’d be curious to hear about why departments go one way or another outside aesthetics.

That Is One Sharp Looking Tahoe

This is the first time I've seen a Tahoe PPV with the headlights on. It's VERY helpful to know that the police models have amber parking lights on under the headlights. On civilian models, it's the white LED DRLs that would only be amber when the turn signal is activated, just like the Ford Explorer PIUVs. Another tip for spotting these is the front bumper from the Z71 model with more ground clearance/approach angle and the black 20 inch steel wheels.😊

That's cool you've got the lightbar set up to deactivate the side lights when entering the vehicle. Our fire Chief's buggys have blinding alley lights come on.

Oh how I wish the department I work for has Ford Explorers, we have Durangos and Tahoes. The Durango is cool and all but it looks too roundish to me. But at least we have all blue lights like this Explorer, I can’t stand red lights 😅

Slide 2 needs to be something different than 3 in park. The slide 1 rear lighting should be the slower alternating like the slide 2. Slide one pattern would look better as the patterns for 2 and 3. Amber should also be on EVERY level of lighting. Not one where it is driving. Amber is way more visible than blue during the daytime and is needed when sitting on the side of the road. I try to set up my switching so slide 1 is rear. Slide 2 is MINIMAL front lights. Like just the grill and two heads in the bar to the front. Slide 3 is everything, and in drive white is added. If in park, it’s everything on a slower pattern. Have all the white flash on a separate button that is activated in slide 3 and deactivated in park. What it gives you is essentially 5-6 different lighting modes using only the slider and one additional button. Slide 1 Rear Flash- One mode Slide 2 - Minimal front flash - Second Mode Slide 3 - in drive - All flashing in response - Third Mode Slide 3 in Park - All flashing slower pattern - Forth Mode White flash Button - Activates automatically if in drive, deactivates in park - Fifth Mode White Flash Button - CAN ALSO be activated if in level 3 IF PARKED (park only turns it off, doesn’t disable it and can be turned back on if needed) and needed like in the middle of the day and blocking a roadway and extra lighting is needed. - Sixth Mode. As a bonus the white flash button can also be deactivated by the user if responding and the white is not needed. Like if snowing, raining and fog during daytime or night regardless of what the lighting sensor is reading.

As a blind man, I greatly appreciated the interior of this custom Custom. It was a nice touch. This is a great P.O.V. for any one responding to a seen. As a blind man I haven't scene the interior to differentiate which form of the word eye should use.

What is the normal antenna spacing you guys used when installing/mounting 2 antennas on the roof?
