That 4 banger is loud coarse and unrefined. It doesn't feel like 328 Horsepower. Drive it back to back with a Palisade Caligraphy or a Grand Highlander.

Despite any shortcomings covered in this video, I believe the Grand Highlander will be selling very well. The XLE Hybrid is supposed to get about 12 MPG better fuel economy than my 2015 Forester. So the XLE Hybrid is a win for me in both MPG and getting a third row to boot.

Has anyone had this problem with a 2024 GH with under 2000 miles on it? Passenger side headlight stopped working. We were going on a trip the next day so I tried changing the bulb myself as I've done with every car I've owned for the last 40 years. I couldn't twist the bulb out but my pliers left a few marks on the plastic. Finally, I read the owner's manual only to find that it says "see dealer". Are you kidding? Headlights have to be changed at the dealership?!! And by the way, the plastic marks from my pliers void the warranty and the dealer wants $1300 to change the whole light assembly because the headlight assembly part itself is over $1000. Yes, you read that right. A total of $1300 for a friggin' headlight. I should have gotten a used vehicle so I could do simple repairs myself. If this is Toyota's new business model to make outrageous profit on repairs then this may be my last Toyota!

The hybrid highway mileage is roughly the same as the gas engines. City about 20% better. We average 28 on the highway and 24 city in the gasser. Have done as high as 30.9 highway at 50 to 55 mph for 100 mile trips on secondary roads.

You have to learn to find the sweet spot when cruising on the highway. I use to average 36 - 37 mpg in my old Hybrid Highlander before I switched to an XSE

The one change that really disappoints me is that they took the chrome grill away from the XLT trim and now to get that you have to step up to a lariat trim.

I really don’t see any problem (s). That should be a good engine. It’s an inline 4 cylinder., and Iam guessing it’s closely related to the 2.7 inline 4 in the Silverado/ Colorado., which seems to be a solid engine., it’s been out since 2019. From what I’ve seen in videos the interior looks like they did a good job. (It’s not a Cadillac). The new 8 speed should be a good one. Iam pretty sure all the problems they had with the previous 8 speed were enough to make sure they got this one right. It’s true only time will tell, but with a crowded competition in this segment, I bet this Traverse will be a good choice. I would give it a A without even driving one yet.

So, the bad parts are the tires (that will need to be changed) army very good just like every new car, the steering wheel of this SUV doesn’t feel like a race car, it’s not super flashy, and the fuel mileage is over reported just like every other car on earth. What a stupid video
@waltereichnerlynch25742 ай бұрын
We bought a GH Platinum Hybrid Max in Sepember of 2023. It now has 7650 miles on it. Over the weekend I drove from South Lake Tahoe, CA to Albany, Oregon and back for a total 1135 miles - I set the odometer at 0 at the start of the trip and didnt clear the mpg between refueling. That trip went over several mountain passes, through rain and sleet, driving around town a bit. My speed was set at 67 miles an hour on the freeway. When I arrived back in SLT the mpg showed an overall average of 27.6 mpg. OUTSTANDING ! Full-time AWD, 400lb of torque...oh what fun it is !!!!!! And...everyone stop worrying about that one cannot put more than 13-14 gallons when empty in the tank. Toyota purposefully left a greater margin of fuel in the tank so not to damage the Turbo. I still get 375 miles per tank (13-14 gallons) = 27.5 mpg

Ehhhh...it's an okay model. Just doesn't look or feel right in my eye. Too many zonk here and there and very out of place. The outside looks good, the peppy little motor just doesn't feel like it's suited for an suv. The V6 would've been the better choice engine with a little tweak here and there to give it that OOMPH would be a big improvement in the performance overall. As for the ridiculous over-sized infotainment display. It just just too big that could've been shrunk down to an 8" or 10" screen at max with a bezeless to give it that nice premium look overall.

Bought a 2023 Pilot Trailsport, the Auto Idle Stop drove me nuts! Can be hazardous entering a busy street and tons more wear and tear on the battery and starter. I resolved it by installing the Idle Stopper. Also, the trailer wiring harness was not included with the tow bar! 😡. I installed it myself without removing the bumper and wheel trims as the instruction suggested. Other than that its fabulous! 😁

My black edition pilot has turned off on me 4 times and I blame on the stupid idle stop . Taking in to the dealer ship today to get it looked at.
@georgecarr682 ай бұрын
@@elyhenu8449 Turning the vehicle off when you come to a stop is exactly what the idle stop is designed to do. You can manually press the override button on the center console every time you start the vehicle. Honda will not do anything to resolve it. It took some time for me to install the Idle Stopper as I was concerned about warranty breach. The Idle Stopper simply electronically depresses the auto idle off button. It doesn’t get into the vehicle’s programming. The installation was fairly simple as they have a video that walks you through it. Although, I did not fully remove the first panel, just enough to do whats needed. Secondly it was tough to remove the last cover, they show it easily coming off with a screwdriver. I also, used my fingers to help depress the locking clips. Now, Im much happier although those were issues I should have never had to deal with from the start.
