After this video I can tell the best way to use these reins is to put them in the trash. Not sure what you are trying to achieve but I guarantee you this isn’t getting you there

That is attrocious. You put a horse in a straight jacket and expect him to work. What you've succeeded in doing is making a minion who is too heavy on the forehand, doesn't bend, is behind the vertical, and is set up to buck because you've opened up the hind quarter with the horse being heavy on the forehand. You have no idea what you're doing, but you speak as though you're an authority and you trick people into this nonsense. People who resort to these gimicks are lazy of mind and body, they want a quick result, and they are selfish as hell. There is no taking short cuts to get true quality. That's the cold, hard truth, people. Let's put you in a get up like that and see how you perform.

Hi this is the best video on KZbin in regards to this type of paseo lunging system Can you please let me know how many days a week is acceptable to use that on my appendix horse He's very stiff hard to get to bend and I've been writing him dressage for 2 years and he just sucks But I noticed using this tool he has improved dramatically Can you let me know how many days a week I'm allowed to use this on him for 30 minutes at a time

Hi ! Thank you for you message sometimes I forget to check these on KZbin. We Pessoa our training horses here at least 1 day a week. The other days we are riding, cross training and contributing to the overall picture of collection. Sometimes with younger horses we will Pessoa or Vienna rein before we ride to set them up for collection before a rider gets on. It helps them be supple and soften their body without a rider

Amazing! We use this system on all our horses that ride in all disciplines. Teaches them to use their body in connection without a rider and to balance.

Can this be attached not to side ring but girth? Between his front legs?

Hi!Thank you for your message! I have put a Pessoa on top of a saddle before and even ridden in one, to try it out. It's all in the set up and attachments. With the Pessoa I don't put it between the from legs but I do attach to the side of the saddle. The back piece of the Pessoa attachment is the hardest because it needs a place to clip and some saddles have a ring somewhere on the back of the saddle to clip in.

Hi Thank your message . Sometimes I forget to see messages on KZbin. We have tried to put the Pessoa on with a. saddle and it is a bit more of a challenge with attaching it. It is easier to attach Vienna reins verses a Pessoa to a saddle because it can go between the legs. The Pessoa is better with a circingle and won't get caught on the saddle

Good explanation and demonstration! I've seen tools misused more often than not. One of the successful elements is to watch and see if horse is getting bothered. We layer pressures and ask our horses to accept and submit when we're kind fair and clear they will understand and comply. I like to take advantage of the educational opportunity.and ask the horse to recognize my core body position as I do when under saddle. Bellybutton to the tail moving forward- bellybutton to the nose for slowdown and stop. Horses recognize this quickly and for those watching looks like magic. Try it and be amazed! Glad I found you thanks again. Riding and Driving Coach for Connections Boarding Stables Salinas CA
