Sorry, some 808s work better than others and at times it can be tedious finding the point where to create the loop. Some sections play better than others.

For stem separation I like Deepremix (RipX). I found it a little cleaner. Plus it separates the drums. I haven’t used Rx since 8 but it’s been my least favorite. Seems to have the most artifacts. FL isn’t bad.

You can try fading or use another section of the 808. Unfortunately it can be tedious sometimes. Depending on the 808. Finding the right spot to loop.

Out of the stem separation software I’ve used. RipX has the most flexibility and had the least amount of artifacts. I haven’t done a comparison in a while though. I’m not sure if the artifacts will ever fully go away. It’s a little crazy that stem separation is even possible.

The real reason I switch from FL to Ableton, is the procrastination. I think I got more procrastination with FL more than in Ableton, mainly due to many tedious stuff I must do in FL. I had to re-link the mixer and re-automate some basic things. Just think about those make me procrastinate for week, and I hate that. Sure, I can make custom template and call it a day, but it doesn't solve the automation issue, and I can do that in Ableton so it also makes Ableton workflow even more intuitive. Combine with the arrangement that give me way too much freedom meaning it doesn't care if I'm being so messy, and sometimes encourage it, and I don't like that. I'm much prefer streamlined yet thoughtful workflow, rather than an overwhelming freedom that may encourage bad habit. Just because I can blend automation clip into midi/audio one, doesn't mean I should.

I agree with FL being tedious. Ableton really fits my style of creating. I don’t mind FL and it’s a nice switch up and I feel I’ve created good stuff in FL. Abletons flow just fits me. I do like both though.

@@wilmaker for some reason, I actually like FL's stem seperation more than iZotope RX. Also, converting sample to MIDI, while convoluted, it's very accurate, unlike Ableton.

Your Active and Bypass demonstration was poorly done. Other tutorials do it without pause, and with graphics: ACTIVE or BYPASS. But you paused and spoke before demonstrating one and the other, which, sometimes, made it difficult to perceive the difference.

its amazing how simply adding the HP after the distortion turns the vibe completely different. it sounds thicker on the entire signal, but sounds more focused and angrier with the HP. while I have considered this send technique, i don't think i've actually done it but I'm inspired to try it out now, thanks for the vid

No problem! I like to use it when I really like the vibe of a certain saturation plugin or I might be collaborating and mixing with limited plugins. I agree with adding a HP afterword.

Waveshell is a waves file. It should be installed while you install your waves plugins.

There are two stutters before the verse drops. I automated the volume and panning and played with the pitch to give a more unique stutter. Had I not automated the volume, panning, and formant it would be a more traditional stutter.

lol, I know what you mean. If you want more traditional or fewer steps you can always leave out the volume and panning automation or skip the formant step.

My apologies. I realized my edit left out the transfer. To transfer license to an external device click on the transfer tab on the left hand side of Waves Central. Then make sure you're under the "Connected Devices" tab at the top of the page. Here you can highlight the plugin(s) and on the right hand side will have the option of moving the license to your external device.

I really like the Amek interface. I really like the way it sounds on my sub-master. Glues everything together. I totally agree with the V3. Its a great surgical EQ and I like the mid/side processing as well.

@@wilmaker yeah it looks interesting….i think those are my favorite types of plugins….with the V3 the only thing I notice is that if I use too much stereo widening it will dilute the other plug ins on the chain a little after it so I will use maybe 25% extra widening on the B3 and then maybe 25% on the other plugins that have that feature on the chain ….i don’t know why but for me it seems that way.
