Mr. B thank you for sharing your Layout world. Fellow Texan here. Harker Heights. I really enjoy your use of space. Tramway for verticle viewing looks great. Intend on modeling an On30 logger soon when space becomes available. Was going Sn3 but alas the eyes are aging and I'm able to work the On30 1:48 scale things a little easier. Doing my own Bachmann On30 conversion to TCS Wow and I also chose NCE DCC. Kudos on hand laying track. Did in HOn3 way back and I too enjoyed that aspect. Again Thank you for sharing.If you haven't done so thus far a video of actual operation would be welcomed by all I'm certain. Michael C.

Very nice. I like the re-use of the older models, and even entire parts of a layout, not only to enrich your creation, but also to preserve them. Your wide sources of inspiration really highlight how easily something from one region can be used in another, and yet not seem out of place. Thanks for your story.

Another great presentation from Dave. I like his Dispatcher Train Sheet. I operate my Floresta Branch in much the same way. I do use a fast clock for Station Register arrival and departure time as well as timing station stops for passengers and LCL freight. Thanks to everyone involved in putting these presentations on.

I like the slides I've seen so far. I am not modeling Colorado Narrow Gauge. What I am doing is freelancing an Homage to the Kansas Central, a North East Kansas Narrow Gauge that ran in 3 foot gauge between 1871-72 and 1891-92 when it was widened to standardard gauge.

Al is a fantastic master modeler. I was bummed when I heard of Al Judy’s passing a few weeks ago. His level of detail and techniques is astonishing. I could study each and every scene for hours to see and learn from the master. Beautiful job! Thank you for sharing your model railroad and knowledge.

Nice layout. It looks fantastic. I always had a soft spot for narrow guage like this. I used to model in 1/4" scale decades ago. It's a fantastic scale for sure. I also knew Tom Beaton when he lived in Surrey. I remember his small ON3 Logging layout with the switchbacks, etc. It was beautiful and he was a great modeler. Cheers.😁

I have always wanted one of these beautiful brass models but I am worried about painting it because I can’t paint them and these tools are expensive so is it possible to get somebody to paint it for me or not

It looks like they used apple to do their presentation, being able to use the “laser pointer,” and I really appreciate that. I always want to see MORE PHOTOS and fewer slides of text. I always want more feel of the actual layout. The prototype feel is important, but I want to see how it sits as a layout too and how one place goes into another. Again, thank you for the laser pointer! Bravo all around.

Amazing modeling skills! I love all the detail. I wish I knew of the June show in Harrisburg. I am close and would have gone.

The new addition is looking good. This is a fun railroad to operate. Jim just recently completed everything and has earned the title of Master Model Railroader.

Great presentation, amazing layout... In reference to your comments about the car name "Manitouwadge" - it's a small town in northern Ontario.

This is GREAT, maybe especially for me! I am an On30 modeller, and I also model Northern Ontario. My layout is loosely based on the former CN Kinghorn Sub as well as the Nipigon tramway in Northwestern Ontario (where I live). Living in this area, and modelling a minority scale/gauge, I feel isolated in my hobby.... but this video is SO INSPIRING!!!!

i am literally in the process of making my spng no. 8 blunami controlled, just waiting on dbl sided tape, so i got some good tips in the nick of time ! i prefer to remove the battery for charging, and have a couple ready to go all the time. i would like to have a blunami controller also as i prefer to twist a knob. sometimes i touch my phone and nothing happens, but i think its my skin. thx for great video.

I followed the thread on the Freerails forum before it closed up last year. Fantastic layout!

In 1957, 58 I used to catch a rash from a couple of my fellow railroaders about keeping my ballast unglued... Where the hell were you when I Needed You!!!... It's 2024 and I'm finally validated!!!...😂 It was American Flyer S gauge for me back then. Didn't catch HOidis until late '59 early '60. Absolutely the finest I've seen... I'm seriously considering S scale today... All battery powered no Track voltage. Great stuff, thanks for posting.
