Every now and then the T6s from Vance fly over my house down by the river in south Tulsa while practicing at the Tulsa airport. I run out and wave my flag at them! I love that sound they make!

This is so sick bro, I skateboard but this is hella awesome. My home skateparks are usually Augusta skatepark and Tri town skatepark. Tri town is my local. I have only been to windham a few times because its a pretty far drive.

Thanks, boss! I appreciate it. It was a blast to make. Gotcha, Windham is a drive for you then. Definitely a nice park! I miss the old one, though. It was all wooden ramps and more park style. I grew up riding it, and so it was sad to see her get torn down!

I’m really looking at getting one as a first bike, I wanted to know how capable they are off-road, and also on the highway? I’ll be spending most of my time in the street but I live in the desert so there’s plenty of trails and dirt roads that I want to go on. They’re also pretty cheap to maintain from what I’ve heard, and have some good speed as well. Really enjoyed the video and appreciate any insight you give.

Roderick, Thank you very much for the comment! I highly recommend this bike for a do-it-all. I mainly ride street (I have a 2009 KX450F for trail). Before I bought my KX, I was using the XL for trail as well as street, even with slicks. I went up North with a buddy and rode dusty, muddy, and rocky terrain in Eustis, Maine, and I was blown away with how capable the bike is. Its torque will get you through just about anything. Doesn't matter what style tires. Very impressed. As for the road, it's a complete blast to ride. very powerful and fun to throw around the curves. You won't have the acceleration as newer bikes, but it holds its own in the high end. I don't ride highway with it, as it gets noisy around 60-65 mph. Overall, I don't think you will question yourself if you do end up getting this beast!

James Mannette Thank you for the reply! I’m still looking at a few more bikes, but a XR 600/650L or a Xr600/650R are definitely on my top ones to try!

James Mannette I actually found a 1985 with an XR motor, how do these fare compared to the regular motors? I was thinking of putting Shinko 705s on it since I’ll be using it more for street, It’s $1600, and about 150 miles from me lol, so getting it back is going to be a bit of a mission, that’s the only thing holding me back from buying it atm.
