@@sakuradestros I didn't even know about the XIVparty that was a huge help. Mine didn't show Trusts buffs when I buffed them with protect and shell, maybe it only shows debuffs. But it's still better than the original UI health bars

This is very useful for me to hear? You spend so long in end game and that grind is is even more challenging? Most questions I get are related to the end game. But I'm taking this heavily into consideration

Post odyssey gear? Sure! I made this many many years ago, and was just having fun! When I unlocked Bumba's gear day 1? The entire game changed, I remember making an announcement when I saw the leaked gear. There are some stuff on here you can't even do anymore, such as a full room pull of CN (s) on PLD now that they added locus down there. However, negativity aside, thanks for watching!

No this is retail, horizon private server only does up to the chains expansion, so no dancer job, or the aht urgan ones either like blue mage, or seekers ones like geomancer

Absolutely! How far you take it? Aka if you solo thru the story, or seek endgame grouping is up to you. However keep the server you join in mind. Some are busy, and some are slow

@@sakuradestros I'm comparing ffxi to wow or ffxiv where you barely heal and you spend like 80% of the time doing dps. I used to play rdm and whm back in the 75 era and I've played a healer in every MMO and watching this just reminded me of when I was able to just heal and it was so much more fun

Idle I would use whatever combat or refresh gear you have depending on the fight and side role. Potency Gear would be the Empy Head, Body, Hands, Ambu Cape, all songs+ neck, and the flute, such as the linos or Ghorn. For precast set? Thats a combination of fast cast, and song cast speed gear to get to 80, there are many routes you can go, but the Empy head is a good place to start, the ambu body +2, FC ambu cape, or the UNM cape aug'd from vidampire. Anyways, when its 80 (counting in subjob fast cast or buffs too) you'll sing songs near instant, and can setup macros that way, but its not a "must have or can't play" thing, just adjust the wait in the macro a tiny bit longer til you can cap the precast set.

@@sakuradestros Got me curious based on the title. Gearing up an alt for bard but past what you referred as a "pocket". The whole setting up songs always confused me but this made a little more sense. Bard is different than when I mained it back in pre toau expansion. How is Siren these days? It looks kinda low pop compared to Asura and Bahamut.

We tend to run 1-3 scheduled events a week and a few random things. Friendly with 3 other shells that also run events. Pretty slow though vs say 2020 when I was running double full alliance events lol

So buff main is protectga, shellra, and boost vit. Ausp combo is auspice, and aurastorm on myself

there is a hidden windower plugin that disables job animation lock, its going to sound silly, but you have to use the konami code on your keyboard while on the plugins tab of windower to enable it. It is called JA0, short for job animation 0 frames, it does more then make your dance look cool too, lets you move faster after job changes, or move right away after being raised (ever die to an aoe just putting your daggers away?) Sadly though, to do this with Vanilla user interface? it would involve complex blinking of gear changes to unlock the tether to the floor? but it is possible that way too.

oh and I play on a pretty slow server compared to Asura, I play on Siren. Benefits and drawbacks to each server with the population differences

Thanks and fully agree, both have advantages and draw backs, but both are for sure better then remaining in the same static set of a gear, a big issue new players get stuck in.

I def think each flan is soloable in a way you describe, but they would need to retarget their flan after each berserk, and wouldn't be able to heal with apoc until they get control of there character again. so I hope your locked out in a hybrid set. But I bet it could work for sure, keep that endark up

@sakuradestros I got the idea from the old strategy for Ods KS 30 back in 75 Era. Each person solos a scorpion. Would be interesting if that plan would work. Hell go in on anything that can solo. Does not have to be apoc drk

Gear swap, roll tracker and score board, and I even think battle mod were all crashing, it was brand new content and some of the user interface mods not updated yet

I have an older video then this talking about the top floor boss strats we came up with when this content first came out similar to the timing of this video. And we were doing a no skillchains strat, to not accidentially enrage the bosses with a magic element from the skillchain. So we stuck to savage blade, shark bite, dragon kick only, to avoid any issues and keep momentum. Also, the naegling is broken as hell

Leveling to 99 tends to be done solo, or with power leveling help now? but once 99 there is many content to do with others like ambuscade, delve, and other less daunting content? Not everything is elite endgame stuff, and many of us players love to help others who are new. As far as the party user interface goes? it works in windower? but needs to be added manually, its not on the main list. ​@@sakuradestros that will be a weird experience as whm. anyways, now that i got your attention, maybe you could help. like i said i have managed to make a free account and get playonline going and connectet it to my square enix account, have played ffxiv for some time. when upgrading that free acc to a full one it says i have to insert the ffxi registration number AND a playonline registration number. do you happen to know where you can find that playonline number?

@@remusblaque8207 converting a Free account into a paid account can be kinda confusing for sure, but all codes are emailed to you, so you should have a few sent to you, a playonline key, a FFXI key, 2 keys for free items, they may be in seperate emails? If your just trying to figure out your POL number for logins? its that 8 digit number you setup to login, usually 4 letters, then 4 numbers, such as like uh... YYYY-1234

@@sakuradestros after setting up playonline i only got playonlie-ID and password. when i would make a new service account at mooglestation, there's only a ffxi reg.key requestet. man, whoever came up with this has something against customers.

@@sakuradestros How the heck do you get the item to enter the fight, I've tried so many times with my THF. Low hp, steal items equippied, when horn is out, etc. Is there anything else to know or do?

Honestly I was out there over 5 hours today with no luck. But a few thf that came with me had luck. Here is what I know for sure. At 20 percent they pull out the horn, and only use tantra moves for their TP move at that point until dead or box is stolen. We had more luck timing it right at it's charging it's tantra, seen it work on both. Sometimes I came out and got first steal. Today? 5+ hours no luck. I think it's 5% or even less without any steal+ gear? But we did confirm subjob /thf can also steal it. But our shells pro thf with all the steal gear is getting quicker then the rest of us

Yeah I thought the follow up prize was a little lackluster, but it's better then Apple juice
