How about a counter weight/pulley system to drop them fast and with a sudden stop instead of a slinky?

Hydraulic engineer not botanist here so if I'm waaay off it's your fault for trusting a guy on the Internet. But here goes, the pads are hydrophobic but I can't say I've ever seen pads with a depression where the stem connects. Seems like there was just a hard rain or maybe the lake was high?? so the pads were taught and being slightly pulled down. I just looked it up and the stoma of a lilly pad (breathie mouth part) is located on top. So it's not oxygen release. Maybe oxygen from grass underneath but then you would expect to see bubbles between the pads too. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Also, love what you guys do! My Dad was born in 1954 and he will never agree with the fact that I need more tackle than a Zebco 33 🦏 and 6" purple worm.

Now I’m not a pro by any means but whenever I go fishing with dudes who only do bass fishing they always set the hooks like they are trying to rip the fish out of the water. Idk what it is about bass fishermen and setting hooks so hard but I promise I have had no problems with a smooth firm hook set. No need to rip it as hard as you can!
@benjaminsorrells405819 сағат бұрын
It's mainly ego. I agree it's nonsense to set it that hard a smooth whip to the side sets the hook plenty deep

I love my dad. He may not be my blood dad but never turned down a day of fishing with me no matter how good or bad always gets back in the truck and always always asked me if I’ve had the best time and if I haven’t he always tries to do something to make it right.
