My truck wore the pads on the inside much faster as well. My wife has a 2019 Acadia and hers did the same. With her car I pulled the slides out (where the caliper bolts on) and cleaned them and re-greased them with anti seize and it fixed it on her vehicle, so I will do the same with my Silverado. Seems like GMC uses crappy grease on the slides from the factory.

@@maurymoynihan5245 you can disable the wear pad indicator on the dash. Just scroll through the different menu items like oil and air filter life and ther should be one for break pad like you can then select to disable it. Mine is disabled no issues

It was the same for the right side too i only have 26,000 miles. There should be a recall because this to me is a manufacture defect.

If you are only draining the ATF from the oil pan it is not an oil change. Much unlike the engine, in which all of the oil drains away from all of the parts into the pan, the transmission does not. The transmission holds most of it's oil in the torque converter and valve body. This is only a 1/3 oil change.

I dont like the dash. It seems they have eliminated storage and no room for switches. I dont like the door handles in the middle. How are you going to put an enclosure on it? Also it seems like a lot of places on the door for mud to get in. It will be hard to clean. The tires still do not even come close for east coast riding...Can you put 35s on it without modifying the A- arms?
@vroomsgarageatv23 күн бұрын
To put 35s you Would have to clutch it and you would loose a lot of power. I would recommend getting one of the turbo models if you wanted to go that big of tire I might go with 32s in the future. I also didn’t like the dash at first with the center display but it grew on me and now I like it. Also the tires are a lot better than the ones from the previous RZRs and compared to the base model. And the chassis does feel a lot stiffer then the previous model as advertised. As for the door handles you do have to get an exterior handle installed when adding an enclosure which makes it better but I don’t like the idea of cutting into the door it seems cheap. I do like that they are full doors they seal better than the previous model and aren’t any harder to clean. Over all I do like it and it’s been a great machine. Thanks for the comment.

Check J.A.P.S video on rear brake change he noticed his inside clip was messed up and the spring back action was not working. I would imagine a lot of these trucks are like that and that’s why the inside pad is wearing so soon. Just a theory though. Great video.

I changed front pads and RF pad sensor wire on a 2022 1500 3.0L. Now the Brake, ABS, Traction Control, and Engine lights all came on. The brake pedal has to be pushed hard for it to stop, like a power booster went out. And it's in "limp mode" and will not drive over 43mph! The SnapOn scan tool says must disconnect the Brake Fluid Reservoir Sensor Wire to do a six step sequence for automated bleed. You can barely see it let alone touch it. I scanned it and tried erasing all the codes but that still didn't help. Do you have any ideas how to get the brake pedal back to normal, take it out of limp mode and erase all the lights on the dash?

Hey bub ... just changed my rotors and pads last night .. unaware of the break service mode on these (mine is a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 3.0L Diesel) - now it's throwing all of these signs you stated & it won't travel faster than 43MPH... did you find a solution to this problem? I hear clearing all coded with a scanner can fix it, but I haven't had a chance to try that until later tonight... any tips would be greatly appreciated

A few comments. By partially removing the intake manifold and not cleaning the mating surfaces or replacing the gaskets, you're asking for an intake manifold leak, as well as for debris to fall into the intake ports or onto the mating surface. You should completely remove the intake manifold, clean the mating surfaces and replace the gaskets. Also, you should prime the oil system after replacing the oil filter housing. You do that by disconnecting the injectors and the coils, removing the spark plugs and turning over the motor. I think you're supposed to do that three times or until the oil light goes off. That way, you know the engine will have oil when it starts for the first time. Finally, to BMW, after decades of producing shitty oil filter housing gaskets, maybe it's time to fire the engineering department.

I do have a question. Do you need to put your truck in “brake service mode” to do the front brakes or just the rear? I must be lucky. 2020 Silverado 84,000 miles and I am just getting ready to change the brakes now, for the first time. I bought the truck with 7 miles on it. All of them wore evenly. Great video helped a lot!

Same. If you look at the most replayed moments of the video, it's exactly on the moment he removes the cap. And the cap doesn't remove the way he says it does. Something is fishy, he may have removed it prior to filming or something, but the lever doesn't work the way he shows it does, so everyone keeps reviewing this segment trying to understand how it works with no success.

Engine noise!!! I guess it’s expected since it’s a high Rpm machine. Heck it’s pulling 5000-5500 rpm’s at 20 mph. Everyone that drives it , says something about it, like it needs another gear, it’s loud, is something wrong with it, we can’t even hear the stereo over it. I got some sound dampening material coming. Maybe that will helpHopefully that will help.
