One of the most influential metal albums (to me) of all time

I have an external Reading of why Mnemic didnt made it to the big audience. IMO there IS non market for "cyber metal" fear Factory, made it because it was juste considered as metal band sometimes even related by people like part of neo metal movement. When Mnemic was active, they were too much bands and all bands of that type burned out like Sybreed or many cyber metal related bands. There IS nothing in between the Metropolis records bands that have huge support from EBM-indus audience and classique metal-mixed with these musics éléments where exaclty Mnemic stands. But still the music left a special place in the Heart of its community, thanks you so much for such incredible songs

I only understood a handful of words ("Mnemic", "September", "fucking") but anything this dude says about upcoming Mnemic activity is music to my ears. I wish I could make it to that show.

So excited for this reunion! This is my first ever comment on a KZbin video I'm that excited 😅 From the first day I heard Deathbox nearly 20 by years ago I knew I'd love everything you guys do. And I wasn't wrong ❤. Please play the UK!

Seeing you guys together again... I can't quite describe the emotions it gives me. Ever since I heard both Ghost & Door 2.12 when they came out, you guys have remained as one of my top 3 metal bands of all time. Literally nothing out there has even come close to replacing that, and it never will. No matter who was in the band, you guys have made absolutely amazing, one-of-a-kind songs. Whatever comes out of this reunion, be it a new album (Fingers crossed) or just a big ol' tour... Please do it for yourselves & for Guillaume, more than you'd do it for fans like myself. You guys are an outright gem in the realms of metal, and believe me, I hope you know that your departure was certainly felt. To say it's good to see you all together again is one hell of an understatement. I hope you're back together for a good long while yet.

Please, is there somewhere the full version? I really liked it, I mean Mnemic was a big to me during my childhood and I'm so excited to hear them in original line-up. And as I just returned from tje European tour, where we travelled with successful bands in nightliner, spending days on a parking lot... I can relate to this so much. All the musician's struggles, but the passion to move on... :) Great interview! And finally I know how to pronounce Mircea's name! :D

I found Mnemic, a year and a half ago. Was impressed immediately. New Metal mixed with odd times, drum work that baffled me how i didn't see mentions of on my drum channels, considering they play some very messed up and awesome Shuggah riffs. I was sad I missed this band entirely, and that they would've also been an influence on me. Anyway, Meshuggah listener, really influential to me, I've played for 25 years now. When Mircea said they came across Pantera as an influence, ans Meshuggah. It totally made sense. Also Fear Factory. Those are all the same sounds that shaped my style. I feel close to this band because I hear all of the things I like. So damn good all around, exceptional writers in heavy music.

I found Mnemic like a year ago. Listened to most of their stuff over that time, and I gotta say, woefully underrated as a technically proficient band. Blending new metal tricks with odd times and man, everyone is talented in Mnemic. This is from a Meshuggah listener. (Poly Rhythms or bust, mostly.)

I didn’t know anyone who listened to Mnemic back in 2005 who wasn’t blown away. I just think it wasn’t promoted enough
@anthonydurante1149Ай бұрын
They opened for Metallica across Europe. What better promotion is there?
@andrewvanhalen1984Ай бұрын
@anthonydurante1149 he probably means here in the States. Which is really sad, considering that they helped paved the way for bands like Periphery and Animals As Leaders.
@anthonydurante1149Ай бұрын
@@andrewvanhalen1984 It also didn't serve them well when Michael left, and going through 3 vocalists after him didn't help either. The music itself suffered too. Nothing beat the first 2 albums. Yes a few good tunes, but MSP and AIS dwarf the rest. Then of course Smaxone and Blood Eagle were practically hobbies and never took off. Getting back with Michael - 17 years later - is the best thing for them. Let's hope they can still churn out a stomper.
@James-px6hpАй бұрын
@@andrewvanhalen1984 exactly, they were very much a European band as far as it seemed to me

Mircea is being humble when comparing Mnemic to other bands. The sound and vibe they offer is very special. So happy they're back with the classic line up. Can't wait to catch them live! (I thought I'd never see the day)
@fuckoff5652 ай бұрын
Been a dedicated follower since 2003. I'm so stoked to see Michael back in the band. I feel like he was the creative head of the band, considering how drastically their sound changed once he left. He had a lot of the same flair with Scamp. This is just speculation of my part, of course.
