Man I love so many of Kings books, but the man is insufferable. With all the people who love Stephen King, no one's loves Stephen King as much as Stephen King. Martin talks about things in several of Kings books, ties it to his questions... King does nothing like this for Martin. And when Martin says something poignant, King almost can't help himself from cutting him off and attaching himself to what was said. In. Suff. Er. Able.

King's wife and son are writers, perhaps his ghost writers producing so many books. His "11-23-1963" was spectacular. Greatly brought to the screen in the "series" on hulu. EXCELLENT!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I believe the entire universe was created just for this moment where George RR Martin, the world's slowest writer, would ask Stephen King how the f* he writes so many books so fast

And it’s 7 years later and Stephen King has written multiple novels and GRRM is still thinking of finishing ASOIAF but instead decides to string everyone along and will more than likely die before it’s ever finished. 👿

We all need to just organize a George RR Martin boycott. We aren't watching any shows, going to any Cons, watching any interviews, or reading anything else he writes until winds is done. This is rediculous. I started this in fuckin 1998. I was 16. I'm 42 now.
@GlassesAndCoffeeMugs4 ай бұрын
I understand the frustration but George is already phenomenally wealthy, a boycott wouldn't change anything. I believe George wants to finish the books. But the reality is he does not prioritize writing over enjoying his success. It sucks for us, but that's the way it is. The good news is there are already some TWOW chapters available and there's no doubt he has hundreds of pages of material written already. We may not get TWOW in George's lifetime, but the good news is we almost certainly *will* get it at some point, whether it's finished by George or someone else.

@@GlassesAndCoffeeMugs oh I don't think it's about the money. I think it's about the attention. I wonder if he's afraid to finish it because he's afraid of being forgotten.

@@matchavez8530 GoT is arguably the most successful show of all time in terms of viewership, notability of the franchise and merchandise sales, I doubt George is worried about being forgotten, I think he's worried about death

17:50 This is the story that got me into King. I vividly remember reading it as a kid and the impression it made. Few stories impacted me like it back then. It’s awesome that he brought it up and gave backstory 26:18 And then George brings up my favorite Poe story. What a great interview. I’m saving it
