The fanhousing has a venturi on the back, whiwh pulls in 15% more cool air + I have a remote oil cooler with electric controlled thermostat. oil temp max is 95 degrees Celcius.

Would love to know the engine specs. Idles really smooth, so with the single stock size carb, I’m assuming the cam is on the smaller side. Sounds healthy and crisp!! I dig it, thanks for sharing. 🔥💪

Hello ! Its a scat crank 78.8mm with Mahle 94 pc's. CB perf I-beam rods and a FK65 cam with 1.4:1 rockers. Heads are Panchitos from CB perf. CR is set at 9 static. Runs very cool and pulls like a train in every gear. All put together in a late 1200 vw mag case. The carb is a 39 pict from BAS Ahnendorf Germany. My endcastings are matchported to the panchitos also. Intake manifold is the high flow version from CB perf. ;-)

I am debating on a 2276 or 2332. Saving up for MS 230 all jpm valvetrain, wasp stage II and that muffler you have. I wonder how much shipping is to the USA plus more taxes when it gets here :(

Hi James, if I could do it all over, I'd go 2332 again. Nice torque all the way. Yes, we here in Europe are lucky that JPM is not to far away for us. Email JPM with shipping costs and what you would like to buy from him, he will certainly answer you. Or else go to CSP VW website. All JPM parts available there, fill your shoppingbasket and go check out. Before you have to pay, you can see your shipping cost to your country. Then you can delete your basket again. Hope this make sense to you. Good luck ! ;-)

I know this is an old post but Im hoping you'lll get a chance to answer or maybe someone else with same exhaust. Just got mine today. It came with hangers and this rubber piece with 2 holes but have no idea how to attach the hangers or where that rubber piece goes or is it even necessary that I install..

Sorry for veeeeery late response, but the rubber is atached to the ring that goes around the muffler , and the ohter end goes to the inner wheelweld. with a bracket. Bracket should be in the hardware kit. ;-)

Have a Wasp Stage 1 as well and need to go to the TÜV Test center for sound meassurment. Do you guys have some reference values in db levels that you can share? Hope iz won't be too loud for the Swiss authorities!

167 hp to the wheels, belt on, 29°Celsius. Engine made 227 hp at crank. A lot of loss through clutch/gearbox.

mahler6x That’s awesome, my best friends little brother back in the day built a 2332 with IDA’s that made 189 hp to the wheels belt off. I’m currently building a 1776 with the hopes of making over 100 hp to the wheels.

@@jamesb003 Depends on your valves, but yes you can put it on a 1776 as in my video. It is also a 1776 engine. Don't go bigger on the diametre, it will be "overkill" , unless you have huge heads/valves/cam .

Jonathan Ross : Results were a 167 hp to the wheels at 7K rpm. I had 212 hp on the crank. Conditions were not perfect for dyno , 29° Celcius.. Belt was on, jetting was not optimal, a bit to rich at the high rpm zone. But anyway, not bad for a small 4 cilinder boxer engine, not ? I lose a lot of hp trough my gearbox (pro-drag IRS),next month the engine will be updated with raptor venturies and the raptor powerjet kit + wasp stage II exhaust. That should give me about 20 hp ontop. Thanks

I have 100hp a the wheels on my 2054cc engine on my street buggy and it is a rocket!!! Can imagine what a 200hp engine will do at the wheels. You have a very nice car!

man, i reaaaally want this exhaust. unfortunately i only own a bay at the moment, and sadly the wasp wont fit neither bay nor split :( But my buddy and i are talking about fabbing a custom exhaust. it will pretty much be a wasp with a bit smaller diameter (mine is only a 1776 so the real deal would be a bit too big), and obviously modified to fit a bus. Hope to see more vids of your wasp (hopefully better quality) Cheers!

@@MrJepperhk No, its not that far. The exhaust comes automatically with stinger also, its al bought in june 2019. Had three 1/4" runs and approx 500km driven with it. I'll be intouch with you ! Thanks !

mahler6x i’m redoing a 73 super beetle right now, I’ve owned standards and also supers. And I love them both. But the supers do drive a little nicer to be honest with you. Remember that’s only an opinion.

@@mahler6x I have a kit car with expensive custom made exhaust (previous owner) Its loud drive you mad on longer trips, after reverting back to normal quiet pack (very cheap) the car is a lot more usable. I feel that the car has less power cf the original exhaust. But one is not afraid to step in the gas more because its more quiet, so in the end u are going as fast as the custom exhaust, with less attention on the road. So something to think about!

@@patriciayuen8541 I don't agree, I have bought this exhaust for 2 reasons : 1) its more quiet than previous systems I tried, and 2) this system gives me best output performance than previous systems. Let's say the 2" Berg system is almost identical qua performance but a bit louder in the high rev zone. But no hard feelings, do whatever you want to do, at the end its all about the fun to drive the old VW bug. Cheers!

I have 212 hp at the flywheel, 166 hp at the wheels (with the street jettings and with oem clutch and streetmuffler, temperature that day was 29 ° Celcius, not ideal circumstances for a dyno-run.) A 2332 in a buggy will rock !!! Go for it , you won't be disapointed ;-)

mahler6x yes I want a motor with 150-160 bhp. Right now I have a 2021cc that makes 95bhp. The buggy weights 1335 pounds so it must be a blast to drive with a 2332cc. I was thinking on using the F8 or the FK87 camshaft for a weekend buggy that sometimes will run on the strip.

@@jonathanross4196 Yes, FK8 is a very good all round cam, suitable for street and strip. You might also want to check the raptor-cams from JPM (Johannes Persson Motorsport design ib Helsingborg) I have such a cam in my engine. Great cams.

@tishal mathavan : I have a custom grind JPM Raptor camshaft in it with matching lifters from JPM, the dual taper pushrods, and the OTEVA double springs with Pauter rockers and titanium retainers + the wasp stage 1 exhaust system from JPM. Engine runs 7500 rpm easy due to very light valvetrain parts. Check out JPM motordesign Helsingborg. Great parts ! Greetz !

What was the box inside the car at the back? To get those wheels on is the best thing to put Porsche breaks on ?

Those Porsche wheels are mounted on drilled stock front discs with Porsche pattern 5x130mm holes aswel as the rear stock drums. I have put in 356 brake pistons in the back to have more braking power. They fit with stock anchorplates. The box in the back is my ignition (MSD) + rpm limiter. All wires come together there, away from moist, dust and heat. Cheers !
