Very nice video. Which lodge did you stay in on the Kinabatangan River? I notice you use a camera gimbal. What camera and lens setup are you using?

@@alanuae we stayed at the Sukau River Homestay. Not as fancy as the lodges around there, but 1/3 of the price and you're on the river safaris on your own or with two, four or six other people .. no more.. the boats from the lodges carried 10-14 ppl No gimbal involved .. I used a panasonic gh6 and a small tripod to make it more stable ... my personal trick, especially for shooting wildlife and from a shaky boat, is using high fps... if you shoot at 60 or 120 fps you get to see more details of the animals moving, and at the same time the slowmow makes the camera shake less obvious/annoying

@@soulroamsfree8870thanks for the information. A bucket list of mine which I really enjoyed and need to go back again one day. You were lucky seeing the elephants swimming. I chose to visit Tabin instead of the Danum Forest. Interesting to compare. Both very nice.

That one was actually on Praslin... I needed one extra shot to perfectly fit the timing of the song, so I cheated ;) ... but the best tuna steak we had by far was on the La Plage Restaurant on Beau Vallon Beach

Hakuna matata, the guys with you sing and dance when you start the climb! Everything looks so nice in your footage, but as you remember, it is quite hard to do the climb. I was there at the Uhuru Peak on 15. Feb.1989. I needed help to get down the steepist slope. Need to say this: 1989 the whole top of Kili was covered with snow and ice. We walked up there in snow paths. It is so sad, that all that is disappearing...

You definitely should! I had such a great time there and wish I had more time there, because there are still places that I haven't seen. I stayed at some campsites in my tent and some places that I found on airbnb or booking .. if you do decide to go, try to match it up with the G festival. I saw Hamferd there live and they have hot tubs and a sauna right at the beach where you can also find the main stage. .. Thank you for your kind words!
