@SinnerMann A bit too much Ghost Recon and not enough GTA is my only true complaint. The story is generic, but that's a Ubisoft trademark. The amount of missions, side quests, and just plain Star Wars tomfoolery within the game is worth investing time into. Just one dudes opinion, of course.

@SinnerMann True, you could probably get thru the game without hitting too many side quests. This is a Star Wars Grinder kind of game. Sure, it could have put a hell of a lot more thought into the story, but I think they used the money to build the factions. With a little bit of DLC love, this title could be a classic. I think the dev’s confirmed that other players cannot attack your permanent base, it’s protected.

@@SinnerMann Your permanent base can only be built in a specific region of the map called the Haga Basin, no where else. Haga Basin is where you can claim a permanent piece of land and build your permanent base (home) in it, and you will have to pay taxes regularly to the emperor for owning land. Your permanent base is protected, other players cannot attack it. Your permanent base is used for crafting, storage, and shelter. You need a place to park your vehicles (sand bikes, flying ornithopters, etc). You need a place for your big industrial machines that can be used to craft vehicles, armor, weapons, and turn blood that you collected from dead bodies into clean drinkable water using the blood purifier machine, and many other things. It is also used to store all your extra essentials like food and water. And also obviously for shelter, a safe space away from enemies, heatstroke, the poisonous effects of spice, and sand worms (provided that you built your base on solid ground. If you built it on sand, the sand worm will literally swallow it and you will lose everything lol). So you will basically always be coming back to your permanent base for all your important crafting needs. Crafting is a big part of this game, many of the items that you find around the world are crafting ingredients that you need to craft things, or schematics, that teach you the recipe to craft something of value. You will need to come back to your permanent base to craft them, because your base will have all your crafting machines and technology and equipment and all that. You can also build a nice looking base, and then creat a holographic blueprint of it, and sell the blueprint to other players on the exchange, so other players can just buy your blue print, place it on the ground, and start building it with their resources. They won’t have to design a base from scratch. So it’s a good way of making money for people who like to build artistically. On the other hand, you can also build “temporary structures” (like maybe a temporary base or something if you need one) in the Deep Desert, which is a gigantic open world pvp area, 9x the size of the Conan exiles map. I’m not sure if these temporary structures can be attacked by other players or not, and I’m not sure if you can build them in other parts of the map too, like outside the Deep Desert or Haga Basin. However, these structures are temporary and will be destroyed by the Coriolis Storm once a week (in the deep desert). What I know is that players cannot build anything in the Social Hub areas like Harko Village.

@@alizainal9057 looks like they are trying to focus on pushing players against each other by giving us a permanent base while throwing in the pvp temp bases, I dunno if the storms are there version of server wipes which could be interesting. If everyone has a place to call home how big is the map? If so many people are on the server does each person get there own piece of land or are they gonna have us choose a faction to have a home at.

I thought the ending was pretty crazy Honestly, I was hoping the baby would survive and become a new evolution of human that maybe a little bit crazy and beastial while we have the synths who are coal and logical. I think they insta grew due being variants since they were lab grown face huggers and xenos. The characters didn’t have much character in them but they atleast made believable decisions! Your right, however if they made Yasuke a playable side character with choices on what you want your assassin to be and not just be Nao it would have been fine. Look at Adelwale from black flag freedom cry that was cool stuff they could have just added missions for Yasuke as DLC or in the actual game.him being a retainer and fighting is fine or just being a samurai if they didn’t make him the only male protagonist to play in a games setting in Japan. I think the other crazy ass issues are worth more to talk about for sure!

There's no historical document that supports Yasuke being a samurai. There are documents in japan about how Oda would parade him around as a novelty. In addition, if he were a samurai, he would've been killed by Oda's betrayer after Oda and his son died, instead of being given back to the Jesuits.

That's just not true at all, it's literally based off of a rumor that spread that Nobunaga MIGHT make him tono. There has been no proof that he was ever ceremonially given a blade, we don't even know 100% what the term samurai even truly meant in the Sengoku period so these are pretty bold claims. Did you just google this? lol

Worth noting as well that we know 100% for a fact that anyone who carried a weapon and faught in war was documented as being "samurai" in this period, despite class or wealth. They used it so ambigiously constantly.

I think it’s gonna fail and not make enough money but assassins creed overall back in the day was pretty neat. Nowadays it’s just a casual open world game with some story that’s either boring or kinda interesting. I’ll let you know in a review! Ghost of Tsushima is fire as hell man!
