Hi, the camper was a custom build by Alu-cab in 2006. We purchased it from the original owners in 2014 and have added a lot to it since then.

so how does the head unit work if the pipes are not connected?

Hi, the pipes and wires run from the outside unit, down the right side (inside the camper on the side of the bed) to the hinge on the poptop. There they cross over to the left side and run along the roof section to the inside unit. We use copper pipes in insulation and trunking to keep it neat.

Hi there. We usually set the AC to 24 degrees C. With all the flaps closed, it cools the interior very quickly. Once it has reached 24 degrees, it uses very little power to maintain the temperature - it only uses 1,5 amps to run the inside unit. We run the AC all night long and the 200ah battery is usually on about 60% in the morning.

Just wanted to ask where the split section of the aircon unit was positioned?

Hello Graeme, the inside unit is mounted on the ceiling of our pop-top, about 1m from the back, so that when the top is popped, it blows directly onto our bed. We will be releasing a video soon that shows the inside unit.

A trick taught tome by my dad - always put the “loose” wheel under the vehicle when changing wheels. That way if the jack slips you still have space to reset the jack and start again.
