Are you upgrading to the C80 or staying with the c70. Curious on your rationale for staying with the c70?

Whenever we’re looking to upgrade or replace our cameras, we ask ourselves: a) will the new kit make production or post significantly easier and b) will our clients notice the difference. The C80 is a great camera, but we’re happy with the image we’re able to achieve with our C70s and C300 mark iiis. Like we mentioned in the video, we’re not opposed to replacing our C300 with a C80 down the line, and if one of our C70s needs to be replaced for any reason, a C80 is definitely a contender. But ultimately, the small quality of life improvements don’t make the C80 a worthwhile investment for us when the other option is to keep our current kit and continue make films we’re proud of while still getting a return on gear we invested in years ago.

We used the EF 35L 1.4 Mark II for 80% of it. The 24L 1.4 Mark II for the rest.

That was a legendary camera - shooting on them was such a simple and intuitive experience. Sony's such a tempting switch that we talk ourselves off of every few months 😅 You seem to be killing it with them!

Anything that’s over or under where the exposure needs to be is over or underexposed. What’s outside the waveform is clipped or crushed. And metering for the highlights means to protect them over the shadows and letting the he shadows go where they might. Giving the sensor as much light as possible is metering for the shadows. You still have to protect your highlights with digital though.

c200 can shoot 12 bit raw, its a big difference. the c200 is a high range pro with 15 stops of dynamic range .. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKS7f6mngMqjldk

Still on EF glass - we have a C300 Mark III and love the full-frame look on the C70 👌 Shooting 2 C70s handheld and the C300iii on gimbal for weddings.
