I have been crocheting for about 40 years, I’m left handed so everything I do has to be turned in my head. I was introduced to amigurumi when I was crocheting while waiting for my car to be serviced and a stranger said oh is that amigurumi? I said no and she walked away so I googled it and have sort of been successful. My problem has been my stitch count I’m either up by one or two or down by 2 or 3 stitches. When placing the marker in the last stitch I am getting the correct stitch count for the row. I see you’re young but an old hooker can always learn something from a new hooker. In my opinion, i think crocheting is easier than knitting because as a young crocheter, i've been crocheting for over a year and that when you keep practicing your progress will look better than the first time you tried it. btw we're all built different ahahahahhaha

Knitting is way way harder in may opinion, takes longer too. I learnt how to crochet last week and have made a granny square blanket and a hat? Currently making another blanket. It took me 3 months to make half of a blanket knitting😅

I think crochet is easier for beginners bc you only have one working hand while with knitting it’s difficult to use both hands. I think long term knitting might be easier bc you only need to know how to do a few stitches while with crochet need to know a lot. Idk tho. I’ve only been crocheting for 5 years and knitting for one year. So far crochet is still easier for me

Me personally I think, knitting is easier as someone who crochets because crochet. You have to do it all by hand knitting you can use like a machine to make it all crochet. You cannot use a machine because of how intricate the stitches are.

It’s easier to start crocheting plushies because it’s more fun and the result is cuter.

Crochet is easier for me since I picked it up first. I also like making amigurumis more than garments because the weather where I’m from is so hot that any garment I make is generally too warm for the weather. I also picked up crochet because I needed something to fidget with my hands during school classes. I kept biting my nails and peeling by skin as a way to fidget until I started crocheting and never did it again 😂
