No climate was changed, altered, triggered, abused, molested, insulted, freaked out or flabbergasted during the making of this video. Climate terrorists however were indeed all of the above.

My father-in-law worked at a nat gas pump station, they had 4 pumps with attached engines each engine had 2 pistons with 4 firing chambers they fired on both sides of the piston, maybe they turned 100 rpm at full throttle. The flywheel weighed over 2,000 pounds

11:55 - 12:15 The company was W. H. Allen (William Henry) not Arthur. I served my apprenticeship with the company and worked there in the 1980s. The S37 in the video originally worked in Welches Dam pumping station.

The massive torque those big, low-revving diesels and steam engines made was incredible. For example, the 450 HP Fairbanks would be turning out about 7,900 lb-ft of torque.

As cool as this is, what is the purpose of this hobby? Is it trying to get the motor running? And once it does run, what do you do with it? Or once you shut it down, is it once again hard to start it again? (so it's more like an ''I concered this'' thing) --> (serious question)

You forgot bear spray. It's much hotter than pepper spray designed to stop humans, has more volume of pepper released in a shorter time and has a 30-35ft range. I'd much rather be hit with a pepper ball or two than a huge cloud of bear spray, potent enough to stop a charging bear.

My father was a trucker, his trucks were powered by oil engines: Diesel was not a word he chose to use. Here's why: However, when it comes to the so-called ‘diesel’ engine there is no doubt or ambiguity at all. Whilst today it is popularly accepted that Rudolph Diesel invented the ‘diesel’ engine that somehow came to bear his name, in truth this is a myth and a great injustice to a brilliant British engineer. The real inventor was Herbert Akroyd Stuart who achieved all the seven milestones listed above years before Rudolph Diesel achieved anything. Herbert Akroyd Stuart was born in 1864 in Halifax, the son of Charles Stuart, a Scotsman from Paisley. His father established the Bletchley Iron & Tin Plate Works and Herbert, after a short time working as a junior assistant in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the City & Guilds of London Technical College in Finsbury, joined his father’s business in Bletchley. There he started experimenting with oil engines. In 1886, seven years before the German filed his first patent in Berlin, and after four years of experimenting, Akroyd Stuart not only filed his first patent, but also built his first prototype ‘diesel’ engine at the young age of just 22. Dr Diesel’s later patent, filed in 1893 at the Imperial Patent Office in Berlin, was for an engine that burned coal dust rather than oil, and it was not until 1887 that he made his first working prototype. This prototype blew up and nearly killed him. Akroyd Stuart’s engines predated Dr Diesel’s first working example by six years. In addition, Diesel’s design idea was based on the ‘isobaric combustion’ principal which had already been patented in 1874 by an American by the name of George Brayton, so it could be argued that Diesel’s first patent was plagiarised from an earlier invention. However, since the modern diesel does not function on this principal, this is largely irrelevant. Please give credit to Herbert Akroyd Stuart!!!
