Hi! I’m looking to make a few browbands for myself as a creative outlet while I’m going through a burnout, but I’m struggling to actually find beads!! Could you tell me where to find them? I tried Michael’s and they didn’t have any that I actually liked 😅

Hi! I am considering making custom horse tack, etc as a way to bring in an income and to fulfill my creativity side. I am wondering if this business is at all lucrative and worth it given most creator markets at saturated.. and not really worth the time it takes to create something that can just be bought overseas. I understand if you do not feel comfortable answering this type of question but I’d really appreciate some advise.

Why not just glue the beads instead of sewing?

I have purchased glued on beaded brow bands and they work ok for the short term… but then they start to fall off because the browband flexes with the horse, cleaning, handling, etc. plus, exposure to the elements; sweat, dirt, sun, cleaning products, etc…. Best to sew as shown if you want them to last. But, if you are looking for quick and easy, you could glue them .. just be prepared for falling beads and bling 😜

Where do you buy your brow bands that have the space on them for your beads to sit already?

For using the leather line to secure the beads, do you cut the leather line after each pass or does it stay as one long piece of leather line throughout the whole thing? I hope that question makes sense! Thanks!
