Jerry Goldsmith's masterful tone poem . The entire ost rivets , rises and falls . It soothes yet uplifts and welcomes you to the new adventures of the Enterprise . Perfect accompaniment to the crew's reactions , pride , fears , stoicism and in the end , love . The Cloud in particular, is both listenable and watchable time and again decade after decade . Your piano version here speaks timeless volumes to Goldsmith's haunting piece ... many many thanks .

A fairly good piano rendition of "The Cloud" but it's not the same without the accompanying violins and blaster-beam.

Sweet!!! I remember seeing this when it first came out in theatres and that Phryhian dominant theme (Lothlorien) and it just felt so exotic and magical. Then the Ring theme comes in with its haunting, chilling mood and sinister, dark undertones. Shore is such a genius.
