What sport is this? Looks ultra goofy. Why are their hands not up and why is the dude at 0:20 just standing on one leg, flipping his leg in the air lmao?
@nayman28016 ай бұрын
its Sport Karate - hands aren't up because of the upright stance you don't really need to. For reference in UFC, look at how Wonderboy fights, his stance is a similar karate/kempo style. As for standing on one leg, probably trying to bait an attack, not sure though? haha

Weird bow, dachi’s were off, but otherwise generally good technique. Anyone know if this is an actual kata or something he made up?

Alright, let's break down some key points from this fight (and no, I'm not making excuses, just sharing some insights!). 😂😊😂 😢 First off, after standing on concrete for a whopping 7.5 hours straight with no room to stretch or move, my legs were absolutely toast. Now, onto part 2: I've got an extra 7.5 lbs strapped to each leg thanks to these devices and padding, all to ensure no one gets hurt during the bout. Part 3: Let's talk energy levels. Fighting for me is a whole different ball game compared to someone stepping into the ring for the first time. It's hard to put into words, but trust me, it's a whole different vibe. Moving on to part 4: I had two main focuses, and while one worked out pretty well, the other not so much. I was aiming to fight with my right side/leg forward and anticipate reactions to make my move. Win or lose, the goal was to keep my focus solely on getting a reaction. Final score: 4-5 (loss). As the clock wound down to just 3 seconds left, my opponent launched a rear leg axe kick that nearly got me. It was close, too close for comfort, and from another judge's angle, it looked like it might have landed. Stay tuned for more insights and lessons learned from the ring!

Looks like a great time! We just moved from Louisville to Florence last year and I’m looking for people who like to point spar. I may reach out to Priceless but I was hoping to find somewhere a little closer. Do you know of a school closer to Florence that practices point fighting?
