Written by Ed McCurdy (Jan, 11, 1919 - Mar 23, 2000) Folksinger, songwriter and actor, born in Willow Hill, PA became a naturalized Canadian citizen in 1986, at Halifax, Nova Scotia. Ed was a very popular fixture in the early days of folk music festivals and the peace and love movement of the 60's. Sometime, after become a naturalized Canadian, Ed opened a pub in Halifax called "Listener's" where patrons were expected to "listen" to the performers. Unfortunately, all of the shushing didn't work and Listener's Pub didn't last too long.

are you familar with the version by Simon and Garfunkle? I like Garth's version, but S&G's is very good imo
@danielevans98382 жыл бұрын
@@MajBunl oh yeah, their version is really good as well. It's a great song and S&G can do no wrong. Is there a version of their online? I would have liked to hear Graham Nash in his prime sing it too.
@MajBunl2 жыл бұрын
@@danielevans9838 yes, I think there are several different recordings of this song that S& G did on You Tube- as well as a lot of other singers or groups, but I do not think I have seen one by Nash.
