I owned a 2 wheel drive 1992 model out of all the small trucks I owned that body style was my favorite. I have owned a 1998 Ranger, 1994 Toyota, 1996 Tacoma, 1997 Nissan hardbody, 1985 Nissan 720 4x4, 1999 Nissan Frontier. Out of all the trucks this one had the smoothest ride and comfort and was reliable, but the 1985 Nissan 720 was the longest lasting it was 40 years old when I sold it last year. The Toyota was the most reliable and probably would have lasted just as long, but I sold it 2 years in for the Tacoma. I still loved how smooth the 4 cylinder was with 8 plugs. So smooth.

Hey guys, i have specific issue on my Toyota Tacoma 2019 TRD Pro , i wanted for shooting to test Crawl control, I forced to stuck my car in sand, at first i tried with 2H , then 4H and stuck front side as well.. After all that , I turned on 4L and Crawl control, everything works: I can change modes, speed of crawl control, can change gear box in Drive and release the break . The car is getting started but wheels don’t move: no shaking and etc.. for the first time , it started working very late but car was already too stuck in sand. for 2nd time crawl control never started, even long pressure..But most curious fact is that when car isn’t stuck , everything works perfectly. Have anyone ever experienced this problem before? When it’s stuck even the locker has trouble with starting. I was trying more than 15 minutes to turn it on..And didn’t start before I took the car from stuck. Also tried restarting the car, but nothing happened: still didn’t work.

passed. Wanna make the nose look better you can swap in a 1990-1993 ford explorer grill. It's a strait swap. No mods to make it fit. It's more aerodynamic also. Tilt/cruise control steering column with a stick shift is rare.

Well, I have an embarrassing story. Yesterday we got stuck badly on the beach in our Tacoma Offroad 2023. 1st that happens to me. A knowledgeable guy on a Bronco was able to pull us out, after many tries. Today I learned through your videos that I would have been able to get out of that by properly using crawl control. Lesson learned! 🤦Thanks for sharing

For those of you who doesn't understand what's going on, I'll explain. A-trac is a sophisticated system that vibrates the wheels compacting lose sand or dirt for it to crawl out of the hole. This works best on lose gravel dirt and sand.

Back in 2002 my uncle in Mississippi was fixing a air conditioner for one of his clients and her brother in law asked if he knew anyone that would be interested in buying a 12 year old truck that was still in good condition. He was unsure at first but decided to check it out and brought his dad along. At the time my uncles van was getting repairs done on it so he thought maybe he could use the truck in the meantime. When they arrived the guy said his late brother bought this 1990 Ford Ranger XLT brand new fresh off the lot and drove it over 16000 miles. Then sadly died afterwards. His wife had it sitting in their garage for 12 years and the guy finally convinced his sister in law to selling because ever since her husband died no one was using it. Despite it being practically brand new they sold it for $1500. My grandfather said buy it son you can’t go wrong with this truck. I wouldn’t mind having it. About a month later after getting his van back my uncle called his dad saying (dad I got my van back come over here I’m going give the truck to you now. 6 years ago my grandfather was now 77 and he passed the Ford Ranger down to me. I love it just like he did and it still running good.

Thanks for sharing! I absolutely love my little ranger! When my other vehicles fail the ranger never does. My Grandpa bought this one in 1992 as the second owner. It only had a few thousand miles on it when he bought it. He only used it to go around town and the mountains with. When I inherited the pickup It only had 68000 miles on it!

I have a 99 Dak ext cab in reasonably good shape considering the salted winter roads around here and the fact it is nearing 220,000 miles. My question is,how much difference in wheel well size? I'm having trouble finding aftermarket flares that *cover high enough* for rear wells, one of them is rusted badly and I have near zero autobody repair experience. If the Ram flares would be a sure fit for the Dakota it would simplify things for me to do a DIY coverup of either the rears or all four. If the size and profile/shape matched so it is easy enough to make it look better I'd spend the money. I also noticed the Dakota is quite a bit bigger than my S10,S15 or Ranger,driving the Dak seems/feels closer in size to my 96 Silverado ext cab. No people,I don't have all those rigs now,only the Dak and S10 crewcab.
@PuddleJumper68
@PuddleJumper68 2 жыл бұрын
@oh just quit it I do not know if the Ram wheel wells would fit the dakota. the dakota definitely feels much more like a full size verses any other mid sized truck!
