I haven't seen much footage of him, but at a glance, I think he's a technical fighter who just doesn't have great technique. He uses his weight defensively - basically just keeping himself from being pushed around - but a lot of his punches are thrown from the shoulder and don't have a lot of power behind them. Worse yet, he has a very questionable hook that's more like a slap than a punch.

I'm still a little surprised. You don't often see a gatekeeper this prolific without even a minor title reign to their name. The fact that he handily beat Albert Sosnowski so late in his career - at a time when Sosnowski was at his peak - makes it difficult to dismiss him and his style entirely.

Very likely! He's definitely the tallest boxer still active today. And thanks to a single match back in 2007, he's also one of the tallest kickboxers of all time, with only two or three fighters being bigger than him in K-1.

Mark is one of the best blokes I've ever met and I'm proud to have him as one of my best mates. Not an ounce of grub in him. Edit. Just spoke with Mark and he said Dwight is no longer with us. Mark also added he was a top bloke. RIP mate.

19-2 and never KO'd, and his record was even better if you count his NCs for being underage. Multiple-time national and regional champion. Virtually untouchable on the Australasian circuit. Ritchie should have been a major international star by now.

Tremendous respect. One of the very few fighters whose lack of a world title is honestly due to not wanting one. When I learned that he was also a serious karate practitioner, I lamented that we never saw him kickbox.
