Do you have to make the new box so big and all the conduit so obvious? Feels like a bit of an eyesore now even if it gets painted.

Genuinely curious on how you would run it differently?
@timemasterhms

@@gibbzy7030 I was asking them that question. Conduit is always so ugly and has now become expected because it's the easy way to run wires. Surely there are alternatives that are less visible?

@@timemasterhms Not really possible, its a two story house, so the flooring of the second floor has no space. If the owner was really against conduit they could cut holes in their roof and drill holes through timber and run cables through that way however more expensive as now your involing plasters and painters + a longer run.

Yep, if possible I would have gone with ducting as its squared but, just my preference. I think corrugated conduit was used also.

Hi mate, for the LED strip is the entire cupboard outlet switched via the socket below? So with the light switch off, the outlet above is dead
@millerwattselectricians
@millerwattselectricians 5 ай бұрын
Hey Oliver, yes that's correct. The single outlet in the cupboard above is for the sole purpose of the LED strip.

IC4 rated downlights would be a much better option. If practical plug base outlets make the replacement much easier in the future.

how are you guys able to install the multi head system, is there a fridgey on the team? Pretty sure the arktik restricted licence is only for single head units
@millerwattselectricians
@millerwattselectricians 6 ай бұрын
Hey Lewis yeah we use a subbie fridgey for all of our split system jobs bro. Arktik license doesn't make you very competent so prefer to use a fridgey
