There are so many ways of discovering them. I listen to shantys since the game Assasins Creed Black Flag came out. Then I was diving into everything like it on KZbin, saw/heard several great songs. A few years later I saw the series Black Sails and afterwards looked after its music on KZbin again and what did I found?: The accordion man "Blind Dog" Doug Lacy in the making of one of there songs of the series. There he spoke about what hes also doing and then it hit me like HOLD ON, I saw you before. Also saw the crew even later as the Skullduggers on the gamescom and remembered them as the Bootstrappers and AGAIN remembered, I have heard the name allready on there own Skullduggers music on KZbin 🐋😂 And at the end of all references, I found another YT Channel from a Skulldugger, "Blackheart Vivi" if I remember right Suemy Gonzales the violinist of this Video and she recorded , I think 4 great shantys with two partners from the bootstrappers on her little channel during quarantine AND Doug Lacy also has his own channel with some other great stuff wich you wouldnt expect.⚓️

Wow, thanks for the info, that's so cool! I also saw them at Gamescom a while back. I didn't know Blind Dog and Vivi had other videos of themselves out there but it makes sense. I sometimes forget that these pirate performers are actual people who went to school, played in other bands, and do other gigs other than playing in Disneyland. Do you happen to know the names of the other members?

What, no comments? I discovered The Bootstrappers through The Skullduggers through a song from the computer game, Sea of Thieves. I have read that the group hails from Anaheim, which would make playing at Disneyland a local gig. Imagine hearing them after emerging from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride--or while waiting in line beforehand.

Came across them the same way. I think it was at E3 for Assassins Creed as well when I first saw them. I would occasionally say, "oh, look, it's the Skulldug... I mean Bootstrappers!" at the park. And one of the members, Sock Eye Sid, would look at me and say, "those guys aren't as good" and give me a wink.

I think I like this version better than the one on Sleeping Beauty Castle! It's less crowded and the projections don't look as weird. The only thing I would do is utilize the fountains and launch sites from Fantasmic, but this is a castle oriented show so I get why they wouldn't want to have more pyro on top of the ones from the main launch site

when Disneyland does reopen... I hope both piano joe and dapper dans are allowed to return... but if you see all the entertainment that is gone from WDW...makes you wonder??!!

I know... Disney was my happy place, the place I can forget about work, the problems facing our planet, forget about politics. It fulfilled my escapism. I hope in a couple years all the CM's can come back and all the entertainment can come back. Until then I have my vids and walkthroughs on KZbin. I hope you have a great day and I hope to see ya real soon at the parks!

Musicians younger, move more. Interact, dance more. Wonder if they had trouble retaining older crews who had issues with doing new movement drill/ choreography.
