MAGIC BAG!!! Years ago, after dragging an overpacked 30" suitcase to my room and not wearing half of what I'd packed, I decided I needed to get smart about packing. Since that experience, I've worked hard to travel smart, looking for the perfect wheeled carry-on and the ideal under-the-seat bag. I've found the latter: my Nomad Lane v4 Bento bag in Bordeaux Berry! Its first trip was a weeklong Bahamas vacation. I packed 3 skirts, 1 dress, 5 tops, PJs, lightweight tech pullover, underwear, shoe liners, a pair of sandals, my MacBook Pro, swimwear, a hat, makeup bag, a book, my personal and work mobile phones, my tech bag, and a spare foldable backpack in my Bento (my only "just in case" item). I also brought a separate small backpack for my GoPro accessories. You've thought of EVERYTHING: The pockets in the front as well as the phone pocket that fit both my Pixel 8 Pro AND my work iPhone); the water bottle pocket; quick access pocket to my laptop; two separate sides for clothing and a pair of shoes; two pockets that held my small tech pack and snacks. While I didn't take a roller suitcase with me, I love that the back pocket unzips to convert to a trolley sleeve. That'll come in handy for a two-week trip coming up. The handles and strap are comfortable and feel durable. Because I packed quite a bit in the bag, I work it as a cross-body using the strap. It was comfortable as I walked past 20+ gates in two airports. This bag fit comfortably under the seat of two different planes, an E75-Embraer 175 and an Airbus A319. Easy access to everything I'd need on my combined 5-hours in the skies. I'm looking forward to making a video to show how I got a week's worth in this magic bag. Incredible design! I appreciate the thought that went into this newest rendition of the Bento Bag. I cannot imagine traveling without out it. It'll be my go-to for every trip.

I'm over 50 and have traveled half the world, but I have never seen any airlines not offering eye masks and blankets on long haul flights. Perhaps you are talking about budget airlines which I've never tried except on short flights.

I absolutely love the carefully thought out attention to detail. I’m torn between the bento and the tote. A few thoughts/question - a sleeve pocket to tuck the bento straps in would be nice. Is the tote wired like the bento?

Way too expensive. The travelpro under seat bag is just as good for a third of the price.
