Hi! This is an Atlantic pygmy devil ray (Mobula hypostoma), really cool footage of one feeding! Do you remember the date that you saw the ray (or at least the month and year), as well as the exact location it was at on Ft. Walton Beach? I know a PhD student who is studying devil rays with Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota FL to learn more about their distribution/seasonality and better inform conservation efforts -- pygmy devil rays are endangered and very understudied so any information you’re able to share about your sighting would be very helpful =) Thanks for your time, we appreciate it 🙏🏻
