This game does indeed fuck I remember attempts at campaign mission 2 more than I remember any of skyrim. Even losses can be epic as hell in this.

@@purplefanta7142 the runs are always epic even when you fail. It really nails that vibe of fighting for your life. And the art style and animations make it even more intense. This is one of my strongest starts so far. May actually be a good melee build.

Pathfinder is sick but I'd reccomend to look into the game a bit more. Its pretty light on the pathfinder stuff other than the lore.

OK, so was a bit premature on the hype, just saw the menu. Totally kinda shit. They basically made a horde survival roguelike and tacked on pathfinder in hopes of getting sales after the fact. It lacks all flavor and has no affiliation with the actual game of pathfinder. Very disappointed. Thank you for playing it for me :D

That why I like it so much. Aiming to me makes these games more twin stick shootery and less bullet heaveny for me but thats just my preference. Kind of makes you need to learn each chacters toolkit of moves. Kiting on the archer is pretty easy once you get used to toggling the direction you shoot. Kitting on Bog is kind of hard unless you get the main attack leveled up. I usually just got hard on his earth attacks so I don't have to try to get that close to enemies. But you can do the heavy strike and quick strike you can melt everything in front of you. Just takes a lot of quick back and forth on the thumbstick

@GamingWithCody_ I hear ya. I suppose that's more of what they were going for with the game. Just a personal preference for me. I should have watched more gameplay prior to buying. I'm gonna keep playing though and hopefully I'll start to appreciate that aspect in time. Would still recommend the game, just with a big caveat lol.

Thanks for the kind words brother. I may just be tired of this genre of game, like I said its not bad by any means, I just felt like my choices didn't matter on the build. Moonshine sounds sick. I've been looking for another mobile game to play.

@@GamingWithCody_ It's Moonshades. You have 2 characters that level up and get better gear as you make your way through tons of levels that are like mazes with tons of secret walls and buttons. There are quest givers, daily dungeons and a forge where you craft gear as well as daily dungeons. My only problem with it is that you start with little inventory space and chest space, but you can earn gems through achievements that you can use to unlock more space. Just takes some time. It's made by 1 dude. There are several skills that you can assign to each dude too that you can use in real time combat on grids like those old school computer dungeon crawlers like Eye Of The Beholder or D&D games like that.

I was playing on controller felt good to me but aiming with the right stick felt fine to me. But I wasn't really runing and gunning with it.

Hi! It's cool seeing this game getting more attention- I'm making art for it. I was a fan of the game on release, and I noticed that the game had a lot of AI art, so I offered to make some for them on the side- that's why there's a blend of stock pixel art, ai art, and other stuff lol- the devs are actually super active, and planning and releasing content a little faster than I've been able to make new stuff lol. Generally if the pixel art has a black/white background with splashes of color, it's mine, and if it's very colorful, it's stock, the non-pixel art is AI. I'm in the process of making more art, focusing on replacing the AI, and keeping up with new upgrades, but I also plan on reworking the other pixel art upgrades too, just to be more consistent with the overall grittier art direction. I was really worried people wouldn't like the new art- especially with it being released in parts instead of all at once- but I'm also excited to be working on stuff! Also, for saw launcher: it follows your cursor. Try KB&M, shrapnel, ricochet, and charged rounds (avoid the charge explosion- the whole point of this build is to hit with the saws, and the explosion kills them before the other projectile based stuff can take off). This also works with Hard, especially on Map 2, because there are more enemies to hit more times!

I agree they nailed the art style. A lot of the art is done. The stuff with a purple banner on the top right is the temp stuff. And some of the enemies don't look as polished as the player minions so hope those get some love down the road.

Never heard of front mission, that was a fun Wikipedia rabbit hole to go down.

​@@GamingWithCody_ It is old but there are remakes of the first two. I know the remake of the first game is on steam and Switch and the second one is only on steam. The third is considered the best but my favorite is the 4th. Mainly as it refined the Ap system more and adds the link system (the team attack). However 4 and 5 are only on the PS2 and the 5th one never came to the US.

And the spin offs that were completely different. The first was more third person shooter (more like armored core) if memory serves. The other was weird and didn't really fit in with the rest of the series.

​​@@Meinotchu The first spin off was Gun Hazard on the SNES. If you ever played Hardcore Mecha then you played Gun Hazard. However from what I remember you can buy new Mechs and change the load out in Gun Hazard rather than just changing the load out. Unfortunately it is Japan only but there are translation patches so it is playable if you know how to emulate.

@@aproy42 I'm pretty sure there is a fan traduction for the 5 that can run in emulator, i remember it to be like the fourth in game mechanic but with a better streamlining of the story because you don't spent your time jumping all around earth with different team with wildly different loadout and missions pacing all the time

I love how "simple" this one is. I played it for like 6 hours recording and loved every minute. Last flame is also really good a bit to number crunchy for me but it is really solid.

Yee gotta have mech customization, big part for me for mech games. Its either gonna be Fire Emblem like were we have set units and we can move equipment around which is fine but I hope its more like a mecha x-com were we can salvage parts and fully customize the mechs.

@@GamingWithCody_ Yeah I agree. You've gotta be able to fully customize your team to whatever your play style is. Find new guns that have different strengths and weaknesses and things like that. Level up and get new abilities and all that good stuff.

Attack On Toys looks awesome, reminds me of those old 3d toy soldiers games on the PS1. Crystal Guardians looked a bit to much like Rogue Tower so I skipped that one. Was it any good? Thanks for recommendations brother!

@@GamingWithCody_ Yeah actually I think it has more potential than rogue tower. Some things are hard to follow like armored enemies vs towres being able to target high resistance but not armor. But you combine a tower base (like splash) and a tower gem (like fire for DoT) as well as give towers items like its a warcraft 3 custom map its pretty cool. Needs work but the demo is worth playing.

The perks do feel kind of samey. Its all damage but a different color. Def needs some more polishing. With how sweet the perks art is hoping they can cook something up.

The devs are German so thats probably why they went with Landsknechts and the chacter model is designed after Landsknechts outfits. They were pike and shot from what I read up on and they used Arquebus aswell. So they really tried to make this one accurate with the gun name and outfit. Hadn't heard of Fusilers before, thanks for fueling my next Wikipedia binge!

I censored it more due to me thinking it was gross and didn't want to ruin someone's dinner lol. Main thing I run into is not putting fuck and such in titles. Thats a big no no from an ad point of view. I also like bullet heaven but bullet seems to kill that one from a reccomond/click through and I have no idea why. Wanderbots has been calling them that for a while now.

@@GamingWithCody_ That would be where I picked it up as a matter of fact :D Honestly I think the genre deserves its own name given just how many games are in it at this point! There's got to be at _least_ several dozen that I've seen, and probably that many that I haven't seen. Good stuff. Have you seen GunSuit Guardians or Project Lazarus yet? Both pretty good. Proj. Laz. has a really good variety of 'characters' (mechs, really) that really mix the game play up quite a bit. One that's really taken me by surprise was Chess Survivors believe it or not. The variety of pieces, weapons, and move sets gives that a TON of replayability.

I've heard nothing but good things about chess survivors. Haven't heard of those other 2 but ill have to look into them. Thanks for the recommendations!
