I’m so thankful for you. I’ve been an apologist against Calvinism since i was introduced to it by a good friend of mine years ago in bible college. I knew something was wrong and did my own research. Years later by God’s grace when my best friend almost got sucked into it through a new church she was meeting with at the time, i was able to destroy it’s appeal and “rescue” her. Voices like yours are much needed and refreshing…even 2 years after this upload God still brings a new audience to see this.

Ms. Alana, you have my full support my sister. 5-point Calvinism with its TULIP doctrine is contrary to the Scriptures and is pastorally irresponsible. It messes badly with a believer's life and mind. I am a believer in Christ who believes in God-given free will for all persons. The basis of God's soverienty is love for His creatures...

I'm from England, and have been blessed by your channel over the years! Especially when I first went into my role as a full time housewife.. you inspired and encouraged me. The cream you mention is from Cornwall! People have a cream tea and they are especially well known from Cornwall, but people all over England have scones like this.. super super yummy.. we have something called a cream tea or a high tea.. you have finger sandwiches, small finger cakes and scones (with clotted cream and jam) And then with tea (has to be in a tea pot!) It's all served on pretty China and on a 3 teir cake stand.. really lovely and pretty for a girls lunch! ❤

The gospel is the resurection of Jesus, he was born of a virgin according to the scriptures, lived under the law perfectly and was betrayed and crucified according to the scriptures..died and was buried according to the scriptures, God raised him up on the 3rd day and he ascended into heaven according to the scriptures. The gospel of the resurection of the state of israel has darkened the light of the Gospel by preaching the false resurection..you should do a study on that..The resurection of Jesus saves us from the second death, which is the wrath of God...study and see who looks at the author and finisher of our faith, and those who look towards the state of israel, and to jerusalem for prophecy...keep studying. Jesus is the resurection, not the state of israel...the gifts are of the spirit, not of the apostles. Be blessed.

I am currently breaking away out of Calvinism and have been off and on struggling with confusion and fear. I didn’t even know I was a Calvinist until my husband brought it up and recently the Lord delivered me out and took the scales off my eyes (what I call it). It’s so incredibly comforting knowing there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel! Please feel free, anyone, to direct me to more videos like this! Thank you!

Alana, you have been such an inspiration and encouragement to me the last 5 years. I have learned so much from you… from homeschooling, to making bread and other things from scratch, to managing my time better. Your meals are so healthy and wholesome, sometimes I find myself I guess you could say, idolizing healthy foods as so much of what is served elsewhere (gatherings, obviously restaurants etc) is sooo bad for my family and I often don’t want to go and fellowship just because I feel like the food is bad for us. How do you find a healthy balance? It seems that most the people around, okay, basically ALL the people around us eat ultra processed foods. I don’t feel comfortable eating it often. If we were to attend everything we were invited too, we’d be eating it a couple/to a few times a week. I also find it hard to host… as we’ve done it mostly in the past without any reciprocation from others. I know we can’t live that way, I know maybe God had lead us to do it more but I find it hard to believe that he made anyone who just isn’t “gifted in hosting”. It seems everyone else just doesn’t prioritize hosting in their homes. We are coming from a place where I know things are getting expensive but I’m not opposed to pot lock style where everyone brings a dish even. It seems these types of gatherings are simply a thing of the past for my generation (I am 33) How would you go about this? Continue hosting even if “friends” do not offer in return? Love you channel. Thank you for staying you all these years. I have to concur what others have said, you are a blessing!
@AlanaL39 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing!! I’d say yes! Continue hosting even if no one else does. It will be a beautiful picture to your children and your home can become the hangout home. I always wanted my home to be the hangout home because I didnt want to send my kids off to other homes. It’s a long-term goal, but I think we have paved the way to achieve that at this pointfir my boys’ teen years. Most of the time friends come here and I don’t find myself having to send my kids away or have awkward conversations explaining why I don’t want to. :-) It is a gift to those who come over and experience your service and hospitality. It’s a beautiful ministry, but of course you don’t wanna force it. If it comes naturally and you find joy in it then by all means do it! If you feel burdened or stressed or Resentful, then either work through that and continue or maybe consider that it’s not for you. There’s no the right and the wrong way you just need to see how you want to be used by the Lord. Potluck is great! You don’t have to cook everything. I totally understand about not wanting to go out to eat or eat unhealthy at others’ homes. Honestly, we don’t get invited many places, but I have a lot of healthy friends and so when we do potluck after church, it’s usually healthy. I always cook healthy when people come over and we RARELY go out to eat because it’s so expensive these days. And when I say rarely, I mean very rarely. So when we do go out to eat, I don’t feel as restricted it since it’s so far apart, but I make healthiest choices I can, usually low carb, high protein, veggies…If I was invited somewhere, I would definitely eat what they serve me, but I would probably eat something healthy before I went there so I wouldn’t eat as much and if you have that many invitations, you definitely need to be planning how you’re going to face the food. I don’t think it’s good to eat that much unhealthy food on a weekly basis and I do think I would have a major problem with it too. You don’t have to be rude or not accept their hospitality, but you can Eat something healthy before you go (a few boiled eggs, a can of sardines, some leftover healthy lunch) and be selective on what you eat at their home. You can still be grateful for their hospitality and their service but not necessarily eat all the bad stuff. I hope that’s helpful. I do understand the stress factor, and the concern that it’s all you think about issue. I no longer battle that, but I have also been eating a certain way for a very, very long time so I feel a little more freedom to “cheat” sometimes because of the foundation I’ve laid, and the norm in my life out weighing those few times we eat somewhere other than home. I have learned that moderation is OK, and that I cannot be perfect and that people matter more than food And that eating drinking and being merry is also a joy and a gift from God. But I definitely know that most of the time everything served to us is filled with chemicals and horrible ingredients so I don’t think it’s necessarily an idol as much as awareness that you don’t want to put something bad in your body, and this knowledge affects life in ways we don’t anticipate. Do you have children yet?

@@AlanaL3good answer Alana! I eat healthy for health issues that make literally sick when I don’t so I basically do this same plan. I don’t know why it caught me by surprise that you’re not a perfectionist. Lol I’ve come to realize I’ve unwillingly 😅 adapted to my husband’s perfectionism (growing up in a very militant, ocd household). Now I tend to procrastinate a lot because it’s so tiring both mentally and physically knowing of all the things that “have” to be done a certain way, for example if people come over.. the list is endless. And we are very clean family on a daily but just knowing people are coming over and it triggers something overly excessive. Anyway 😁, I loved the video!! Definitely inspiring for me and it made me realize that perfectionism actually closes the door for us to have company over more often and limits building memories with dear friends.
