Ciao David, thank you. Where can I find the part that connect the pump pipe to the caliper pipe? I do not know where to find it. Thank you! Riccardo

Get a flaring tool and use the existing brake fittings you can even use a piece of the existing brake line so basically you use parts that are already on the bike.But if you need the size is 3/16 cooper brake line.

Look at early 70's Honda brake light switches. Very simple-

simple video - very useful. how did you get on with the brake light switches?
@damorrill2 жыл бұрын
Everything worked fine. I took the electrics end off the pump, made a plate for it and sealed it up and plugged it back in. The bikes brain now thinks the pump is still there so the brake light switches work fine as they are

@@alexbroadfoot8449 the bike is better without it. The ABS system can be very dangerous is when it fails it often fails instantly with the brakes off. The brakes are just as powerful without the ABS.

Hi David, what exactly do you mean by the grommet fails, does the bottom part of the grommet rip or something and then water leaks through it? What is the exact function of that grommet and can zi just completely remove it and silicone those 2 holes on either side? Also where exactly have you drilled the 10mm hole/s…thanks
@damorrill2 жыл бұрын
Drilling a couple of 10mm holes permanently solves the problem

No more BMWs for me. Too many weird problems. I'm selling my 530i.

How did you fix it?
@reggiebuff85012 жыл бұрын
It looks like he just drilled holes at the bottom and will leave it like that. I had major flooding in my trunk today. The electrical relay was completely covered and the car would not crank. I dried everything out, took apart the relay assembly and let it sit in the sun. Afterwards, the car cranked up. I'll be drilling holes as well. I don't trust those drain hoses.

You need to remove the two grommets and replace them. Then very carefully replace the plastic covers. I also siliconed around the grommet. The damage is often caused by roughly removing the plastic covers.

@@reggiebuff8501 Can you show where you drilled the holes and where is the water going from the new drain holes?Thanks for your time

@@totophandhamaly9944 I realized that my flooding didn't come from rain. I carry a cooler full of ice in my trunk and the condensation built up and had no where to go but at the bottom of my trunk.
