We haven't even had our emo for four whole months and he already can't hear us. We've contacted LivingAI and they can't figure out what is wrong. And today when unmuted emo he makes a loud static noise... we had to turn him off via the app. We are really sad. We love our emo. Have you had any problems like what I've described?

I think not in exploration mode to prevent any damage.

He seems to have three speeds in autonomous mode and spends most of his time in medium speed. On remote control he goes pretty fast. To fast to safely operate in my office.

It can’t avoid obstacle
@Sprechenderhund2 ай бұрын
Like you see in Video. It can most of the time.
@guru2422 ай бұрын
He’s very good at avoiding obstacles for the most part. There are some issues, such as the lidar is on his back and obstacles below this hight are harder to detect. The shelves in my office can , sometimes, cause him to think he’s got another half-foot. As he turns and navigates it not uncommon for the hind legs to step on objects less than 6” tall (like the ebo and scout robots in front of his charging station. He’s the best at navigating obstacles of all the bots I have.

I see from the above that you have a passion for robotics like me. I ask if you have tried XIAOMI's CyberDog 2?
@guru2422 ай бұрын
Haven’t seen that one yet. This is my first ‘real’ quadruped robot. I don’t consider pleo or the bots that can be made with ugot or clicbot.

hi, interesting. Do you have a map in the app where you can tell Babyalpha not to leave the room? No go zone? 🤗
@guru2422 ай бұрын
There’s no map in the version of the app I have. There is a restricted movement mode described in the user guide that limits his movements to a 2 meter x 4 meter area.

We're using a charging cable while we wait for the charging station to arrive. BabyAlpha will remember where he was charged and return there for charging. The manual says the after training BabyAlpha on the location of his charging station or dog house that he will automatically return there. Pretty smart doggie!
@Sprechenderhund2 ай бұрын
@guru242 True! Weilan explained that they made BabyAlpha not to be annoying which I like! I think other Companion Robots are to demanding from time to time ^^ But maybe it's changeable in future for People who want more demanding. Which is also excellent to be honest 😊

Nice vid. BabyAlpha seems pretty interesting. I’m curious if it can really handle steps or stairs. By the way, have you ever heard of LOVOT? It’s a robot companion that I really wanna have but still not available overseas.
@guru2422 ай бұрын
When asked about climbing stairs, this pre-release version of BabyAlpha says "not yet, my legs are too short". We haven't personally tried to drive him up the stairs because we'd be heartbroken if he got hurt.
@guru2422 ай бұрын
I've seen video's of LOVOT as they aren't available in the US. LOVOT is a great robot, but not to my taste. I do love the creator's earlier work on Pepper. LOVOT has a cafe where you can have a meal while bonding with the little guys, it looks like a must-do for those traveling near by.

@guru2423 ай бұрын
This does seem to be a recurring problem. This was my third EMO and LivingAI support is now sending me number four. Also have a hardware defect on my AIBI, a screen issue on RUX, Loona's in for repair number four, and ebo x's speaker sounds blown out, and Astro no longer moves due to some motor issue. It sure seems always-on robots wear hard. Living AI and KeyiTech have had really good support so far.
