That is the normal way. Look at africa or anypla ce that animals run free. There are animals eating animals for survival. Sometime they eat members of their own species. That is what god made. They didnt learn it from t.v. or from other animals. Raising animals for consumption is natural.

I was told that my middle name had historical value, but I never did any research until recently. Turns out that john coffee hays is my great (x3) biological grandfather. I didn't know the connection with the walker colt though... that is very interesting, because I am a gunsmith!

Went to college in Hayes County back in early 70s and ran around with the Kuykendall Brothers we were Fraternity brothers their family at that time still owned land along the G Guadalupe and San Marcos rivers and surrounding area....their ancestors and and mine ran cattle drives at the same time with the early Kuykendall Settlers my folks also teamed up with the Johnson Brothers on these drives and they actually had one of the earliest Anglo Cattle brands (Turkey Track) granted by the Spanish Government.

@toddkuykendall6030 so this is actually my last name and I can shed some light. Kuykendall is Dutch and the spelling is somehow an english-ified version, probably from someone who wasn't very literate. The last name used to be preceeded by Van, meaning "from", and Kuykendall is actually a town. The direct English translation for Kuykendall is "chicken valley". The more you know.

I see these Texas Rangers were well practiced at riding and shooting accurately w/o shooting their own horse in the head at full speed. Something the idiot Custer could never master. Had he not been killed on the little big horn he might have been the next President. But God used to bless the country back then sometimes and not give us total idiots for Presidents though many came very close.

Could they not find an actor who looked like Hays? Hays was about twenty when he came to Texas and slightly built, Surprised that Audie Murphy never made a film about him. He would have been a perfect fit.

No, we could not. Is facial exactitude really what you think is important in making a film? How about being able to act like an 1840s Texas ranger, ride a horse at full speed, while firing a period pistol and providing your own horse and wardrobe for little pay. We did the best we could with the limited resources and budget. It sounds like you know nothing about the 2009 film industry in Texas, but perhaps you can start your education with the films of Richard D. Kidd (who died recently) and Kate Johnson of the Hays County Historical Commission. There are other little issues with this film that would have been worthy of your sarcasm, but they creep in like gremlins in any system. ~ Sloan
@johnschuh861611 ай бұрын
@@SKaR64 You don’t use stunt men any more? Anyway. I wasn’t being sarcastic, and it just occurred to me that with a little facial hair Audie Murphy would have been a good fit for most of that work. Or was the Hollywood of that day not interested in realism? Murphy had a devil getting the producers to get things military right. Maybe he was he who held them back on the heroism. No one would believe what he did that day on the tank destroyer. And since Murphy had so little schooling , although was from Texas , he himself might have been totally unaware of this earlier day hero.
