Beautiful footage of the late actress, Jean Seberg (1938-1979). Taking from the film 'Les Hautes Solitudes'. After disappearing from her Paris apartment in 1979 her body was found wrapped in a blanket in the back seat of her car which had been parked close to where she lived. A bottle of barbiturates and a note to her son were found next to her. It read "Forgive me, I can no longer live with my nerves". Her death was ruled as probable suicide by Paris police. She was interred at the Montparnasse Cemetery in Paris.

Utterly breathtaking. I remember listening to this in my garret in 1984 and being drawn into a world that looked like.. well, this, in my mind. Existentialism at its finest and most poignant. And the simple elegance of the musicianship in young men who were then in their twenties. An extraordinary story for Sylvian, who grew up over a hardware store in Lewisham. Inspirational always. And that fretless! Karn was incredible. He bent the air round the notes.
